Thanks Ziggy! I started looking at Gore a few minutes ago as a realistic target and I know the owner (1) wants to make trades and (2) needs WRs. My only worry is IND plays the Packers and Titans on the bye weeks I need him. Then plays Vikings and finally the RAIDERS the two weeks of playoffs. Still, a pretty good addition to my roster, and as a worst case I can get him. Would either of these be possible: Doug Martin (Falcons, Chiefs, Cowboys, SAINTS the weeks I'd need/like) or Jonathan Stewart, who has the best possible schedule (Rams, SAINTS, REDSKINS, Falcons). Would some package of Shepard and Williams (or even Pryor). Or Reed and one of the WRs?
Trying to figure out my flex spot. CJ Anderson or Jordan Howard? I already have David Johnson and Demarco Murray at the other RB spots.
Wow... I could only dream of having DJ, Murray, CJA and Jordan Howard. Easy peasy... Anderson versus the SD sieve. DEN will probably focus more on run with Simiens's return. Howard has had a fun run so far, and DEN probably mixes in more Booker into the mix, but CJA is still RB1 there.
Dang, just heard my only TE Jordan Reed was being evaluated for concussion. Assuming the worst, I need to (1) clear a roster spot and (2) sign a replacement TE. I have een holding two "stash" RBs. Dixon and Ware. West has been looking good as BAL RB the past two weeks. Charles is healthy and expected to ramp up plays this week. Which should I drop? (2), the best FA TEs available right now: Witten vs GB, Clay vs SF, Tamme vs SEA, or Sefarian-Jenkins vs ARI. Heard ASJ will get more work due to Decker out for season. So, who should I cut, and who should I sign?
Good times... just signed Sammie Coates and he shows up to practice for a soft cast on his hand. Then Reed gets tested for a concussion. Now I get an injury notification for TY Hilton. Good times...
Really want to add Dion Lewis so Debating on whom to drop as least valuable player, do I drop John Brown (my 5th WR behind Jordy, Demaryius, Stefon + Snead) ...OR Spencer Ware (4th RB behind Zeke, Hyde, Riddick) FYI league is tough to manage 4-man bench only + half point PPR but since lucked into 5-0 record I dont really care about OCT + NOV as long as can try to go around .500 (4-4 next 8 weeks) so can take risk rest of way.
I also have Spencer and Kenneth Dixon, hoping one would become a valuable stash. Unfortunately west has done better and a change in OC and odds of Dixon panning out are much less. Ware's chances of providing value also seem less.Charles is back and will take over the value. Unless Charles gets injured Ware basically backs up Charles. I'd suggest dropping him. I am not a Brown fan, so he seems droppable too.
cool, I may just drop both and get better trade assets in 2 waiver wire guys since both Dion Lewis + Donte Moncrief sitting there ready to be picked up for NOV + DEC nice depth to squad.
Pick 2 WR: Jeffrey, Crabtree, Thomas Trying hard not to overthink this but would anyone start Michael Thomas over Jeffrey or Crabtree? Pick 1 Flex: R.Mathews, M.Thomas, T.Riddick, Powell I'm thinking of starting Mathews but I'm not sure. It's all Standard scoring.
I was also thinking of Lewis, and Ladarius Green as a stash. Prob is I need a TE now, at least until I know Reed may come back. So I will probably drop Dixon for Clay or Witten for this week. Moncrief would e a great stash.
Yup... I guess there is a chance the "head injury" isn't as bad as concussions go and he come back sooner than Bye week, but I better won't see him until week 10 at soonest. I did hear people saying we Reed owners should have had a backup in place. I almost signed was this week but grabbed Coates instead. I guess that was a mistake.
Seems CHI at some point has to increase Jeffreys targets. He is there WR stud. But even today there was a quote by Hoyer that he wouldn't force the ball to Jeffreys. Which may be code for "I am throwing to Jeffreys early and often". I would start Jeffreys and Crabtree. Flex, Mathews or Riddick.
Have two trade offers out: Trade 1 to Frank Gore owner: His Gore and Richard Rodgers (his TE backup, a toss-in scrub, but spares me from cutting anyone and signing a TE this week), for my Shepard and Tyrell Williams. This owner has one great WR: Allen Robinson, but after that he has Royal, Terrance Williams, Ted Ginn Jr. Owner #1 seems interested in the idea of getting WRs. He also has Lacy, Riddick, James White, and Payne so he is covered with RBs. he also has Hunter Henry, so he is covered at TE. Trade 2: to Jamal Charles owner: His Doug Martin for my Terrelle Pryor, Tyrell WIlliams, and Spencer Ware (handcuff for his Charles). He has one great WR: Mike Evans, then his WRs are also really bad: Tate Coleman, Hurns. Owner #2 has Elliot and the aforementioned Charles and Ware would become his other RB. Unfortunately, this owner doesn't seem to respond to trade offers. So while Martin is the better RB, and his matchups during my Byes are better, I don't think a deal will happen. So, do either of these trades look good? If owner #1 pushes back, would switching one of the two listed with Pryor still be a good deal for me?
I just went waiver hunting for Jordan Reed replacements and came back with Jimmy Graham, Julius Thomas, and Charles Clay. In the league I picked up Clay, I do have a backup TE although he is also banged up (Ebron). Seems like every TE is questionable this week.
Clay versus SF and Witten versus DAL seem the best choices I have. Curious, why not Graham and Thomas? Those two seem to have more buzz, and both seem to have favorable matchups.
