Bobby is not playing with the Vipers, he made about half a million dollars last year. D league can't come close to that, he's probably going back to China or somewhere in Europe

 

I think Harrell will slide over to center when teams go small. I actually like Harrell playing center too

 

Center depth interesting, I might change up my betting strategy. Warriors lost Bogut and Ezeli. Cavs lost Timothy Mozgof.

 

We really didn't have DMo or Smith for a good portion of last season, mainly due to injury and in Smith's case, he didn't join us until later in the season...So, we really only had Dwight and Capela, with Jones as a backup C (when he wasn't hurt). But Anderson or Wiltjer can slide over to the 5 if need be (hopefully not).

 

We had Dwight for 71 games last season with Capela chipping in 19mpg as a backup. That alone is fine. Dwight only had 1 season where he missed a lot of games and we've always had someone to makeup for it whether it be Black, Capela, Asik, D-Mo, Smith, Dorsey, etc.

So far the suggestions I've heard is Montrezl (who is 6-8 on a good day), and Witjer/Anderson (*shudders* at the idea of how many rebounds and lay ups we will give up).

I am not in a rush to make any bets on this team considering the center situation. I am not as worried about Gordon getting injured since he will be getting most of his minutes behind Harden. I just hope we can get away with having him and Harden on the floor...and Anderson as well on defense. IF the Rockets can rebound then I have no doubts about making the playoffs.

 

How was the team defense?

Unanimous? You can't say that when Vegas disagrees, as if their linemakers' conclusions are less valid. Everyone on this board drank the kool aid last year too. We replaced Prigioni, KPap, and Dorsey with Lawson. How can we be worse?!

We were worse. Don't mistake our optimism for reality.

Tyler Ennis needs to be cut. Morey better not make another Whiteside, Lin, James Johnson mistake. Wiltjer is the purest shooter on our team.

 

I am just making a wild guess here but there are no other leagues where baseball players can make money except for Japan so the talent level at the minor league is probably a lot better than d league. MLB can still make money there but in basketball, there are tons of leagues worldwide so the talent is very much watered down at the DL.

 

The house does always win but I'll tell you this much. My boy who lives in Vegas heavy gambler this guy says that the over for the Rockets has been one of the most bet lines over the past week.

So clearly alot of novice and pro gamblers are taking notice of our preseason.

TBH a lot of respected NBA ppl are really turning around on what they thought about the rockets before the pre season. Theirs quite a few experts who actually think the rockets can win 50+ games. There one of the boom of busy type teams they can be as high as a 2 seed or as low as an 8 seed. It's rare when you see a team with that kind of uncertainty
