    Well, clearly there's still a lot to work on, especially on defense. But there were a lot of positives in this one, particularly how well Gordon and Anderson looked offensively in a game where Harden was clearly a little off. I also thought this was the best game Capela has played all preseason. And McDaniels continues to look good. If he keeps this up, he might crack the 10-man rotation.

    Seriously, how many times last season would the Rockets have won if they had just knocked down an average number of threes? Plenty of games where they couldn't hit anything from deep.

    The way Anderson and Gordon quickly got off threes from the Harden pass has me somewhat optimistic... they had no offensive weapons like that last year.

    I think Pringles is intentionally playing Harden long minutes in preseason to inflate his asists numbers to prove his point: Harden is a POINTS GAWD.

    I know he was named the point guard but when defenses tighten up he tries to force it too much. In the long run I don't see it working out, especially against better teams than the Pelicans. It will be like last yr with too many turnovers and forced shots.

    Rockets this year will just need to play defense for 3-4 minute stretches each half to win games. Offense looks like it will be over powering.

    D'Antoni is known for playing a short rotation and starters heavy minutes. Anderson 38, Harden 36, Ariza 33, and Gordon 30.

    Getting Bev back will help in getting Harden's minutes under control.

    Wonderful game. So excited for the season. I would love to see us reduce Ariza's minutes and play KJ more.

    (I really liked the Trez at C look. Reminded me of old Phoenix. His rotations and box outs on Asik were fantastic...)
