I'm not a fan of the coaching approach of screaming in a kid's face on the sideline in front of everyone for the sake of embarrassing him, but at least most of the guys who coach that way then also have the decency to go into the postgame press conference and say that the loss is on them and that the kids played hard.

What I don't have a lot of respect for is Brian Kelly doing the rage thing on the sideline and then going into his press conference and calling players out. He did it again today.

Think he's trying to get fired. Has to be.

Chewing out a kid out on the sideline is one thing (you don't know what is being said), throwing a kid under the bus in front of national media is a whole 'nother thing.

Yeah, Tennessee's finished. Way too undisciplined.

Just when they got momentum back and ready to score, they fumbled for the 5th time. Wow this is all the bad karma coming in for the luck they've had

ND just signed him to an extension and paid off Charlie Weis earlier this year. Brian Kelly isn't going anywhere.

The rage thing on the sideline is something he's always done.

Joshua Dobbs would be the perfect qb for the texans, i love how fast he goes through his reads, and how he looks off safties. If he could play the first 3 quarters like he plays every 4th quarter he would be a 1st rounder EASILY

As an Auburn fan, I can confirm this. Even though they lost, they're never dead.

Somebody started a thread elsewhere about Why the NFL is so Boring This Year.

This week/year of College ball explains the point.

Bingo. Even though it was some terrible mistakes (fumble out of the end zone, FG waaaaaaay wide) that got us there, games like what we just saw between A&M and Tennessee, in terms of excitement and drama, just don't happen in the NFL.

That's always been true, though - there's nothing new here. Big plays, big comebacks, etc all generally happen due to sloppy play or big mistakes - amateur sports has more of that than the pros. It's the same in college basketball vs the NBA.

You guys wanna discuss coaches on the hot seat? Try Mark Helfrich. Mike Bellotti and Chip Kelly had the program at Oregon rolling for 20 years and it's crumbled under Helfrich. The 12-game winning streak against UW will end today in embarrassing fashion.

Agree wholeheartedly. Most of the arguments I hear from folks I know who prefer the NFL center around it featuring better players and a higher quality of play. And that might be true, but it keeps things like what we saw today from happening.

because the nfl is rigged, and defense in the pros is virtually non-exsistant, the refs let the kids get away with more at the college level
