Pick and Pop to infinity and beyond. Basically what Harden will be doing with Ryno all day as well.

Yeah but DMO's elite skill is posting up.

dmo does not have the jumper for "pick and pop to infinity and beyond" dmo's better suited around the basket and in moments out on wide open 3's

Probably why we are letting this drag on. Posting up takes away spacing from the offense and slows down the game. I also wouldn't consider his post game elite until he shows he can consistently beat the double team, something he has never shown IMO. Only his hook shot is elite and that was before his back injury.

Actually it creates spacing and open 3's, but that's not why they don't want to do it, they don't want full on post ups because it slows the game down and they want to go fast.

It's real. He's friends with all the Rockets employees and the guy who used to be Clutch. You can look up his account yourself.

Two posts within several minutes (in different threads), and I would have won a bet: straight to the Morey hatred from cheke64. Kind of an obsession, really.

This is real, but obviously he's joking and not seriously asking for a receptionist job.

I don't think those guys posted up back to the basket too much. It was mostly pnr no?

    Uh, Nope.

Stoudemire finished the pick and roll really well. PHX hardly ever ran a post up...

Post ups allow the other team to focus the defense on the worst shooter (usually a low post player) and foul him early if he makes a strong move to the basket... the worst FT shooter is going to shoot FTs after most likely not finishing at the basket.... Double teams in the post work well, unless the post player is a very good passer (which DMo is)... The defense also knows where the ball is coming from should he pass out.

The whole reason for hiring D'Antoni is to keep the ball moving... it doesn't mean the ball can't go into the post (it will) but it will not be on a traditional "post up" play.

DMo is not the best choice for the pick, but he is ideally suited to replace the pick as he's a threat around the basket and on wide open threes.

I personally think that with his passing ability, those big to big passes from up top are one place Dmo can shine in a Pringles offense.

He also isn't a bad shooter from midrange(ie..pick n pop), that is just an area of the court the Rockets normally don't use much up to now.

Certainly agreed on that. Would like to see DMo return.

I personally think DMo should FIRE his agent. In a RFA situation it's the job of the Agent to find the best deal for the Player. You can't wait it out like this. Houston has no incentive to pay him big cash if your Agent can't find anybody else that will. Young Wiltjer and Dekker going to end up taking DMO's minutes. I rather get paid 4 million than no million. My advice to DMO, fire your agent, ask for the QO for 1 year, play your ass off, don't get hurt, rollout to the highest bidder next summer. The NBA is a "prove it to me" league, he hasn't given the Rockets a reason to invest in him long term.

    "don't get hurt"

Brilliant. So many players these days careless about getting hurt right.
