Based on the content of the first paragraph, it's doubtful you've learned anything from being banned. Pump the brakes a little.
It's funny that you'd call someone else a troll when your signature is nothing but the work of a troll.
It's funny that you'd call someone else a troll when your signature is nothing but the work of a troll. You really need to settle down.
I love how the "tone it down" thread turned into a liberal circle jerk and then into a trolling/counter trolling thread. Good job guys!
Due to work, travel and other issues I haven't been able to spend as much time as I used to here. Just reading some recent post from today tells me that is a good thing.
I do miss intelligent banter with people I disagree with. I wish I could say I'd feel less angry/ snarky after elections, but we'll see. I'll keep you in suspense.
I agree - I feel like I should just reprise my old moniker so we could at least have some intelligent debate. I feel I made a better conservative than anyone here.
I just have to work on not letting my emotions get the better of me. I'd bet that if any of us were in a bar discussing this, we'd probably be much more civil (then again, maybe a brawl would break out). But I have to think that it's the online nature of it that gets us riled up. It's actually not a bad thing, though- nothing wrong with being passionate about your cause. Maybe just avoiding the ad hominem attacks and personal insults. You know, "Clinton Sucks!" and "Trump Sucks!" are fine, just don't translate them into "You Suck!!!!!!!!"
Can I respectfully ask D&D posters to refrain from the " (fill in blank) gonna (fill in blank) " thread titles? Its annoying, encourages anger and does nothing to produce productive discussion IMHO.
My own view has been to always consider who I'm discussing as a real person rather than as just a username. I've personaly tried not to post anything that I wouldn't say in person. These are very important issues and if we didn't get passionate about them then they wouldn't be important. I will admit that I get heated frequently and there are plenty of times I just have to remind myself to back away.
