Don't count out Denver. They've been making all the right moves the last two years and if they miss the playoffs this year, it won't be by much. I could see the Nuggets finishing as high as 6th in the west if all the "IF's" go the Nuggets' way. A team that has the likes of Andre Miller, Nene Hilario, Marcus Camby, and Carmelo Anthony has to be given consideration. Voshon Lenard and Tskitishvili should also be major contributors. Depth will be the team's biggest concern, but the starting five should make some noise.
I agree about Denver. They will be the most improved team this year. I didnt think they would be good ,but Dre is now back to the old Dre. I am scared that on opener we will lose on national tv to Denver .They gave us fits last year and they didnt have Melo or Miller. Miller Carmelo/White Skita ? Nene I think they will win the preseason, and opener. At this point,JVg will explode to the media and a trade will happen. If a trade doesnt happen I see the outcome as this: mavs lakers spurs kings wolves portland suns denver sonics clippers maybe Memphis? 11. Rockets. And our pick goes to Utah thanks to Cd and Meech. What a horrible trade that was. Les paid Utah $$$ (undisclosed) and still have to pay Meech for two years. Plus lost a 1st round pick . For now reason other than to sign JIm Jackson, who isnt even better than Boki or Pike.
Just my humble opinion: West. conf reg season top 5 standings : 1. Lakers 60-65 wins -4 HOF, 'nuff said 2. Spurs 59-62 wins -TD is back, with a young, deeper, and more talented role players around him -compared to last season, that champ. season 3. Kings 57-62 wins -depends on CWebb's injury status 4. Mavs 58-60 wins -will always be a great reg season team 5. T-Wolves 54-58 wins -great collection of talents, but also a mountain of chemistry problems looming ahead The rest of the pack : 6. Suns 48-50 wins 7. JailGangsters 45-50 wins 8. Rockets 45-50 wins 9. Sonics 40-48 wins
You guys are giving way too much credit to the Nuggets. Nene is going to have a heck of a year and I see Carmelo winning ROY, but they still are super young. The Bulls last year IMO had more talent than the Nuggets and they couldn't make the playoffs in the East. The Nuggets would have to make one of the biggest turnarounds in NBA history to make the playoffs next year.
Lakers Spurs Kings Mavs Wolves Rockets Suns Blazers All ya'll haters that think the rocks wont make the playoffs, explain to me how the blazers or the suns can beat the rockets. When it comes to talent, depth, and coaching the rocks are better. I wanna hear this.
hmmm......wow.......u actually think ALL those teams are better than the Rockets? Well, I guess everyone is entitled to their opinion........
Pfffff, hahahaha, , are you joking right??? How can you believe on the Grizzlies before the Rockets?? IN-CREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! and you are a rockets fan???????? Look at this: 1. LAKERS (seriusly...) 2. SPURS (Tim and Popovich- he sucks but knows how win-) 3. WOLVES (KG, Spree, Olowo, Casell, wally, SAUNDERS...ufff) 4. KINGS (the best basketball but not the most talented) 5. ROCKETS (great roster, sooo talented, and...Jeff???) 6. MAVS (they loose their oportunity last year. Thisyear,BUSTED) 7. PHOENIX (continue improving...and they have Starbury...) 8. SEATTLE (complete team, I'm with Ray Allen... the surprise)
