I know you've been to Singapore before.....but doesn't it freak you out that the zoo doesn't have fences our some kind of barricades for the animals?

We went there a couple of years ago and until this day I'm amazed at how the tigers and lions just stay where their suppose to be at.

my parents just came back from Vietnam. They said the seafood tastes really fresh and no issues compared to the article about the steel factory polluting the ocean over there. Have fun

Spent 3 weeks as well. Ask away!

Hoi An was my favorite. Ha Long Bay must do at least a day tour. Hanoi is a nice city. HCMC is cool.

Food is amazing. The central/north had better food. Morning Glory and Hanoi Style egg rolls  so good

Overall I was most impressed with how nice the people were. I plan to go back next year and take my wife and go see Sa Pa.

I agree. South vietnam has way better food but its not to say north vietnam doesnt.

Vietnam is probably the most western influenced and adpated southeastern country, so it is pretty easy to like, coming from the states and trying adapt to lifestyle there. I enjoyed vietnam more than I did Thailand or Cambodia. Be careful with vegetables at street hawker stalls cause they sometimes they semi wash it and/or are grown with dirty water. I would avoid the veggies that arent cooked if you have a weaker stomach.

Mostly where to eat in and around HCMC, Hoi An, and and Hanoi. Planning on doing a street food tour in both HCMC and Hanoi.

I felt that the southern part was more Americanized and that is why I personally didn't like the food as much. Not saying HCMC food was bad at all lol its great everywhere! Great coffee also

I'm not too much of a foodie but these were memorable.
Hanoi in the old quarter on 49 bat dan there was an old lady who made brisket pho that was good. Go to the hanoi old quarter hostel in late afternoon and ask for daisy she is so sweet and can help
    You.

Hoi An look up the place Anthony bourdain had his bahn mi. It was fantastic

Saigon the lunch lady was great. But also cafe wise there was this awesome hidden cafes I think called things cafe but the one close to downtown. Can hit up lily at skygon hostel she is an angel.

Oddly enough, I've lived here for 7 months and have eaten pho around 5 times (versus once a week in Houston). There are so many other dishes that I've learned to enjoy more.
