Just kinda bored and curious. Here is what I am jamin these days: 1. DMX - "Grand Champ" 2. Outkast (Andre's album) - "Love Below" 3. Reggae - Various reggae artists. 4. Some stuff on the radio, most of what they play on the radio is garbage though.
Most of the 94.5 The BUZZ bands are cool. I am fed up with 104's 50% hip-hop content. I am older than that. I guess they're appealing more to the younger audience.
I'm at college so I'm constantly exposed to crappy hippy jam bands. Personally, I like these bands/MCs...(long list) Velvet Underground Led Zeppelin Beatles Radiohead Interpol Blur Jimi Hendrix Experience ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of Dead (wow) Weezer The Strokes Deftones At the Drive-In The Mars Volta Hot Hot Heat Misfits Coldplay Oasis Ramones Radiohead The Smiths John freaking Cash Limp Bizkit (not kidding) Jay-Z Clipse (pop, but underrated) Nas Big N.E.R.D. and almost everything from Neptunes Eminem (his albums suck, I like when he raps over RAP beats though. His beef songs are good too.) Any rapper from Houston, because we run the Dirty Third. I also like dance music, because even though I can't dance, I like to.
Black Sabbath Judas Priest Iron Maiden Deep Purple Ozzy,Dio Megadeth Anthrax Slayer Iced Earth Nevermore Pantara King Diamond Metallica pre-1988 Nuclear Assault Merciful Fate Death, Dead Horse Dream Theater VIO-LANCE Testament Exodus Overkill Forbidden Dazing I Hate most tinybopper pop acts any act put together by a record company arogant artists and white rapers
What a great list, '72. I've seen Dio live twice now, and it was cheesy, awesome good fun both times. "Last in Line" owns me. Do you listen to any of the new neo-thrash revivalists, Lamb of God, Himsa, etc.?
Mainly, I like classic rock, rap, 90s rock Favorite Classic Rock: Led Zeppelin (and my favorite band overall) CCR AC/DC Rap: 50 Cent Dr Dre Ludacris Lil Jon and the Eastside Boyz Pretty much anything that's comin out that sounds tight, and there's a lot of that 90s Rock Nirvana Stone Temple Pilots Soundgarden Rage Against the Machine Red Hot Chili Peppers Green Day
Imma a rap music fanatic. My knowledge is either sickening or impressive. Depends on your point of view. But I'm open minded to anything except Techno. That, my friends, is NOT music.
I just BOUGHT this yesterday. My first CD purchase in over a year, I felt this one was worth buying. Its a great CD but I like his previous one better (Great depression) Other artist I listen to. 1. R Kelly 2. 2pac 3. Biggie 4. Jimi Hendrix To many to list but those are easily my favorites.
i remember i used to not be able to stand techno. and then just like nothing, i completely reversed myself and now love it. i love fast music and it doesn't get any faster. some of it is definitely not my style, but a good techno song is as much fun as i have listening to music. it's like my mind is just going crazy for those few minutes the song is on and i love it. i've never done drugs, but techno music is like getting high for me. it's about as mind-altered as i wanna get. anyways, back to the thread, since i'm pretty much up for anything catchy and good, no matter the genre, i'll just list my favorite artists: madonna creedence clearwater revival britney spears dixie chicks elvis presley rolling stones shania twain eminem weird al yankovic prince
Standards: Sinatra to Torme to Schurr and Krall Jazz: Hartman to Coltrane to Vaughan to Bridgewater and when I have serious thinking to do: the classicals and new age stuff RR oh...and when I want to clean house: classic R&R
Yeah If you like DMX, its a great CD but definetly not his best. Man Rap music has gotten so bad, he is one of the few artists I actually spend $ buying because he actually raps about stuff unlike everything you hear on the radio. Every song on the radio now is "shake you ass" or "I got this much$$ and this many cars" or "How many Hoes can I pick up", complete GARBAGE. If you like rap/Hip Hop, you should pick up that OUTKAST...it's weird at first but once you jam it you'll love it, it's so musically different then what is out there.
Really too many to name here as I like all genres except for country and bluegrass (blues is okay but I have no CDs). I also love classical even though it has been probably over 2 years since I last bought a classical CD. Favorite artists include: The Cure The Smiths Led Zeppelin (listening to "Houses of Holy" CD right now) Black Sabbath (with Ozzy singing lead only) Sepultura (only with Max as the lead singer) Nine Inch Nails Smashing Pumpkins/Zwan Radiohead Sarah McLachlan Peter Gabriel Kate Bush Dido Delerium/Front Line Assembly John Coltrane Miles Davis Horace Silver Herbie Hancock Sonny Rollins Massive Attack Moby Joy Division/New Order Chemical Brothers Orbital Kraftwerk Ramones Buzzcocks My Bloody Valentine Pantera Judas Priest Motorhead Coldplay Beck Bob Dylan Jimi Hendrix Aphex Twin I'll stop there for now.
Ummm lemme see what all I have on my playlist right now... 50 cent Ludacris Eminem Bone Thugs Tupac Nelly Tech N9ne Jay Z Bloodhound Gang Incubus DMB Goo Goo Dolls Matchbox 20 Rammstein Tool CKY Sarah MacLachlan System of a Down Union Underground Sheryl Crow Staind STP Sublime 3 Doors Down 3EB
It's official, Manny is gay. No heterosexual male can like Sara McLachlan AND Pantera... Life is too short to listen to just one type of music. If I had to pick one favorite category, though, it would be 80's glam rock...
I just realized that I forgot to mention that I like Dave Matthews Band in my monster list. LMAO! Hey, I can't help it that I like diverse things, Train. Today at work I listened to "Houses of the Holy" by Led Zeppelin and "Tidal" by Fiona Apple - 2 different CDs if there ever was. Right now, I am listening to "Idle Moments" by Grant Green. That is a big problem when you have diverse music tastes....you wind up having to buy and buy sh!tload of CDs.
What a great list, '72. I've seen Dio live twice now, and it was cheesy, awesome good fun both times. "Last in Line" owns me. Do you listen to any of the new neo-thrash revivalists, Lamb of God, Himsa, etc.? there are some very good groups lamb of god is good illwill is good as well as children of bonom there is no shortige of good bands out there too many to count a web site i recomend is the bnr metal pages http://www.bnrmetal.com/
