To be fair Denver played against the Panthers. Texans played the Bears.

    Pretty big difference.

Not sure what websites you guys go to but I see mostly positive things on the Texans.

And the Broncos too, because they, you know, won the Super Bowl.

Its not just sites, radio, SportsCenter, just people talking. And its not that they talk positive about the Broncos, its how they do it. If you rewatch the game Thursday night, the announcers go out of their way to bring up Elway and his genius in keeping Siemian instead of talking about the Denver D and CJ Anderson's awesome game. I agree, he managed the game well, but by all numbers accounts Brock had a better game and he is getting ridiculed while Siemian/Elway get praised. It just gets kinda old.

The Panthers defense is not nearly as good/talented as it was last year. Lost Norman and pretty much got zero pass rush against Denver.

Why do we care so much though? Plus the Broncos are the defending champions; of course they are going to talk them up.

Driving back from Dallas listening to non Houston people on the way back they had nothing but positive things to say about the Texans. Lots of negatives on the Colts though.

This sack was created by the fear of JJ Watt. The tackle first thinks to double and ignore Mercilus and that split second was enough for Mercilus to take advantage of that mistake and have a free run to the QB. THIS is what happens when you have super dominant guys like Watt and Clowney on the line, These are the kinds of sacks that those guys don't get credit for but they absolutely created. That's not to say Mercilus doesn't deserve credit for taking advantage of the opportunity, not just anyone can do that.....hell Mercilus 2 years ago couldn't, I'm just trying to give credit where it's due.

This is awesome. Haven't really been in this forum since noon Sunday, I click the "go to new post" button on this thread and the first thing I get is Hoyer/Fitzpatrick talk.

    Why'd you leave out Mallett?

I remember he did that last year too.

Then you consider his explosiveness and speed

The guy is truly a physical freak

merciless has just gotten great at using the rip, tazmanian spin and the swim move. He was also effective from both sides of the line. Our front "Five" is so versatile, a defensive coordinator's wet dream.

Clowneys combo of speed and power is what makes him so hard to block. In that video, it was his speed that dominated not his strength. As strong as clowney is, he's not capable of throwing a 350lb man that far on his ass. The tackle was clearly back pedaling trying to stay in front and lost his balance, in which clowney gave him a good shove, that toppled him over.

The sooner we quit the constant hand-ringing about how the national media perceives us, the sooner we can get to just enjoying what will hopefully be a fun season.
