Finally one of Altuve, Springer, and Correa show up. Starting pitching against Rangers hasn't been great, but Rangers lineup is too good to hold them down too much.

I understand and still feel he has the most appropriate stuff for a closer on the team currently. Just still feel uneasy when the team doesn't have more than a 1 run lead. Like I've said before, hope he can grow into the shut down type closer the team traded all those players for.

Definitely will take 1-2. Now let's try to win 3 of 4 in Cleveland.

Think I'd take 2-2 if you offered me it now, but 3 out of 4 would be amazing. Fingers crossed

Well, he's perfect thus far when he's had to protect a 1 run lead...

You were conspicuously absent during his last 1 run saves, I suppose. Guess you also don't remember the literal dumpster fires that Gregerson and Harris have been in the 9th inning this year. Giles being perfect in save opportunities is the least of it... he's by far the best option this team has now, and going forward.

I suppose you need something to squawk about since your favorite whipping boy (Springer) has a decent game and as is becoming your MO, nary a single post about it when the results are good.

Looks like the rangers felt sorry for the Astros and granted us a win.

I think Giles did a pretty nice job, his one mistake was his get ahead fastball that was down the middle of the plate. Like I said before when he learns to spot that fastball and slider he's gonna be lights out.

What does it say that Reed can't get a start at 1B against a RHP, with Marwin hurt and the guy who starts today is a RH hitter who was in AAA 4 days ago?

Only losing one game in the standings versus the Rangers is a huge plus.

Yes but at this point what you lose in the division standings is irrelevant it's what you lose in the Wildcard that matters

They lost 1 game in the WC standings.

But the key part of that is BOTH wild card spots are still up for grabs.

    Question for the twitter folk:

Is there a good account to follow for Astros news besides McTaggert? His pro-UH propaganda and anti-everything else shtick is getting annoying for me to handle

Worries was being sarcastic, I think. The poster he responded to probably meant, he would "take" 1-2 vs Rangers because 1-2 is MUCH better than we've already shown vs them this season. A .333 overall percentage would currently have us 6 games closer to DAL  ..... Amazing how such a subpar result (33%) would improve things, but our 19% is extra bad and our reality.

Bull**** HOU-DAL situation, AGAIN. Still a legit playoff shot. Pitching, namely starters, need to do better. Maybe they can't, maybe they can.

    Quoted wrong post.

This was in answer to the guy asking about Twitter alternatives to McTaggart.

    Why can't you edit posts?
