People were picking this team to come out of the NFC to have a bid for the superbowl. They went 11-5 last year. I think you are undervaluing the talent they have on that team. By comparison houston went 9-7 in the weakest division in the entire league but y'all would be on suicide alert at the thought that the texans won't make the playoffs.
If there is one QB that is MORE injury prone than Tony Romo...it would be Sam Bradford... This kinda decision can end coaching and managing careers. Minny was on the up and felt they needed to make a drastic decision. I understand that they needed to make a move...Heck they couldve called Vick. It seems the injury to Bridgewater might be very serious...But it wouldve been better for the franchise to HOLD onto their #1 pick for next season...If you think you were a title contender with Teddy, you shouldve been scouring the league for a serviceable back up QB with starting experience...A 2nd or 3rd round pick wouldve been enough to patch through this year. Giving up a 1st round, and a 4th(possible 2nd based on starts/wins) is TOO MUCH.
For a team with Super Bowl aspirations, this is the right move. They don't have any guarantees that Teddy will come back and be able to better than he was. AP might not have more than one very productive year left. It's a go for it move just like the Texans getting Brock. Just because you rarely see it in the NFL, doesn't make it a wrong move. I think both teams can win here with this deal. If Bradford plays competent enough to get the Vikes a Super Bowl, they're going to care less if they gave up a 1st, 2nd, and if Bradford bolted in free agency.
What the ****? #1 pick; 6 year, $78M($50M guaranteed) Traded for Nick Foles, 2nd & 4th round pick Signs 2 year; $36M($26M guaranteed) contract this offseason Traded for 1st & 4th round pick This guy has been stealing money & other team's draft picks since he came into the league.
Eagles gave up: Byron Maxwell & Kiko Alonso to move up from to No.13 overall to No.8 overall. Carson Wentz Trade 2016 first round pick – No. 8 overall 2016 third round pick – No. 77 overall 2016 fourth round pick – No. 100 overall 2017 first round pick 2018 second round pick Eagles Received: 2016 1st round pick – No. 2 overall Carson Wentz 2017 fourth round pick Sam Bradford trade 2017 1st round pick 2018 Fourth round pick

Probably could've given up two 2nd rounders for Tom Savage. Would've been a win-win for both teams, IMO. Looks like they gave up more for an injury prone, average QB with not much upside. Guess that's the market this late into pre-season.
going from a guy with top 13 grade in qbr and pff in bridgewater to bottom 5 in both stats with bradford, yea this is smart.. real smart minny
with bridgewater they would have won the nfc north, the vikings are stacked with young talent. jordy nelson coming back wont change **** with a healthy teddy. Bridgewater might not be as flashy as carr or bortles, but he is extremely smart, and makes plays to keep the vikings defense rested. Their is a reason teddy grades out very high in advanced stats. Teddy would be the perfect morey qb
In a strange way, I think it may have been a net positive for Bradford that the Rams were a real train wreck while he was there because I think that there's a perception that his struggles were due as much to that as anything else.
Bradford's deal is 1 year/18 mil and brock is 2/37, not much of a difference....they make the same exact money. There is no 72, it's just a team option the last 2 years
bradford is def a rental, because teddy's injury is FAKE <iframe width="560" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/fG68F4-r31g" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
You're an idiot. With all due respect. Lol 72 million is not guaranteed. That's not how NFL contracts work.
i read that there's significant structural damage to the knee. i think it will take longer than a season for him to return to form..
