From the Documentary on Nexflix: Take me to the River.

Isaac Hayes was working on a riff, and David Porter had to go to the restroom. David was in there so long that Isaac says, "hey David," and David says, "hold on, I'm coming."

    That's craziness, man.

That sounds like an anecdote about the chorus. Isaac's been gone for awhile, is there footage of either him or David corroborating that in this documentary? Incidentally is Netflix paying you as a "tastemaker" or something? I'm counting at least three random threads you started about Netflix shows: one about a 30 for 30, this one and that ludicrous Tony Robbins thread.

David Porter is in the Doc, along with 40 or 50 other greats of memphis music. Charles "Skip" Pitts, Al Bell, Booker T. Basically anybody who's anybody in Memphis music was in it taking about Stax records mainly.

One of the interesting facts about this Doc was how Al Bell explains how the assassination of MLK basically was the catalyst to Stax's demise and how Union Planters bank played a pivotal role in it.

That was really good. Personally it would have been better if it would have been a complete history documentary on the Memphis sound, but still really good. Two other good music history documentaries on Netflix are Muscle Shoals and The Wrecking Crew.
