I think i might have asked this before, but for some reason the msn icon has popped up on my desktop and i cant delete it, last time i had to do it through regedit but i forget where it is at in the regedit, can anyone help me?
I believe it was you who asked, detailed instructions were posted to help out. Apparently I wasted my time. You can find it by doing a web search yourself.
I know this sounds basic, but have you tried dragging the icon to your recycle bin? That should remove the actual icon, but not the program itself. If you know what you are doing, you can also go run > msconfig > selective startup> startup Then zap whatever MS program is loading when your PC starts up.
I tried dragging it, which doesnt work, will try what u said, but dont think it will work, cuz the program isnt installed, its just wainting to be installed but i dont need to install it.
I take it no one knows how to do it, Cohen, its not like i left the icon from the last time you told me how to do it, it worked fine and i believe i thanked you for that, for some reason it just popped up again not sure why, and i didnt write down how to do it.
If you originally asked the question as the starter of a thread, simply sort the threads by 'thread starter' and look for those begun by you.
Control panel, add/remove programs, windows setup, uninstall The Microsoft Network. Then drag the icon to the recycle bin if need be.
