They need to get new assistants, not a new head coach. Stoops' assistants are what make him look so good....

Besides, look how far he's brought them...

The problem is that most of the money guys remember what it has been like all these years since DKR left.

They compare what is today to what was for most of the time since the DKR era ended thus they fear not having Mack.

To be perfectly honest with you, I am still miffed at why those people have not pressured Mack to can GD and BS (Bull Reese). I guess the answer is after the OU game each year, they do just enough in the final games to erase the memory.

Even if they were to win out, if Mack's entire staff is not gone at the end of the season, Mack must be fired.

How can all of us be so smart, and all the coaches be so dumb?

no. It's not cool to lose to OU consistently, but 53-14 and 65-13 is unacceptable.

    Shut up Sooner, j/k...

That's like us saying Save RC hahaha.

Do you really think we get some new assistants and all of a sudden everything changes. I don't know if we should fire Mack Brown because who knows who we'd end up with. So if we do get rid of Davis and Reese, most will be happy for a time, but there's problems not only with the schemes, but also deeper. The problem is people are still caught up in how bad we used to be, that they accept where we are now sort of. I don't think it should be hard for anyone to recruit people to come to Texas. I think Stoops & his staff have to be even more amazing to get people to come to NORMAN. First it was some Texans, then some blue-chips, now it's the top blue-chips that are stolen away from us as well as top national players. The talent difference has already closed, so I don't see any reason why we'll even have that advantage.

I really don't know what to say. I was pretty much expecting this, so I'm not that mad. I'm just frustrated in that we probably won't ever see this team play up to it's potential.

But, Stoops is sharp enough to pick his assistants. If Mack would bringin some hot shot coordinators, Ut would still struggle because they are on Mack's watch. What's that saying? "If a team is at the bottom, that means there's trouble at the top."

    Stoops >>>>> Mack
    Stoops staff >>>>>>>>>>MaCK'S STAFF

You don't give Bob enough credit.

No, Brown needs to go. He is part of the problem. Stoops may let his assistants handle the X's and O's but he is a confident no BS coach. He doesn't make excuses, he will not downplay expectations, he doesn't coddle his team, he is not conservative, etc. In other words, would you trade head coaches? No you would not so don't tell us to keep Brown.

It drove me crazy watching OU run right through UT's D-line like it wasnt there. Is it that hard to stop the run?
