I don't like the changes made to the "R" logo. It's change just for the sake of change, and it looked better before. Don't like the shade of red used. It's almost maroon. Don't like the dark gray on the road uniforms. Too hard to read and I don't think the colors look good together. It's like maroon and dark gray. Don't like the parquet floor. That's the Celtics' thing and would seem like a "knock off" if the Rockets used it. I don't like the gray court either. I do like the white home uniforms. I do think you do great work. Professionally done. Those are my honest thoughts.
The Rockets will never make changes like this, so while it's great some people provide us with an alternative to our horrendous jerseys, it's just not going to happen. Sorry to say, not a big fan of this one either as all the other projects. I rather someone tries something completely different or just try a back to old school look with a twist. Look at the Utah Jazz or other teams for inspiration. What is with the grey, it's the biggest reason our road uniform sucks, so please never use it again! The only thing I like is your attempt at a new logo, with the sharp fire from both Rockets. Still our current logo is fine and far from the problem.
I honestly don't know. My exp with Daz is limited to the apparel I've done here. If I had to guess I would think you need different/additional software. Programs like Daz, Cinema 4d and Keyshot are for modelling and textures, then I think those need to be brought into something else to make them come to life. I think. Was going to/should've/probably will end up putting an R on the shorts. Can only blame my laziness and lack of time to work on these. This was more an exercise in creative catharsis. I couldn't focus on my day job until these were done hehe I can appreciate that. I also hope we go back to K'n'M, but I was working to a self imposed brief I suppose. I work for a pretty well established apparel supplier here is Australia and even we can't get the designs we really want onto the field. There's a gauntlet of approvals and ideas to get through and you end up with something that's perhaps 25% yours at best. I appreciate the compliments so far and the criticism. From the looks of things there are small changes coming to the brand/court etc so for us into that kind of thing it makes it interesting.
I like the grey court, but i don't think that's something they would do in the NBA. I like the bottom of the R..doesn't look like dripping blood lol. I see what you were trying to do with the unis..i think i mentioned before changing up the lines so they weren't so huge, especially on the jersey...but i think they may be shifting over to the black jersey design..so maybe it's irrelevant going forward, well see.
I like your designs and they are a million times better than what I could do but I'm not a fan of anything less than a complete ditch of this current scheme. The logo needs to go and the uniforms need a complete overhaul. The Astros went updated retro and absolutely nailed it to perfection. Just do something like that Les.
Some of these ideas can still be tweaked but all the concepts, all of them, are a 1000% better than what Rockets are using now. Kudos to the amazing work and keep sharing those ideas man!

Have we ever considered uniforms that blend in with the environment. Or a zebra like effect to confuse our predators.
Looks better, I do not like the rocket on the T..its a bit too much, maybe even remove it from the N too
Love your work P34, and your quality is always amazing. I do get what you were trying to accomplish but i feel the current logo is better than that one and i'm not liking the dark gray(the addition of black lines on the court and black jersey, might be better to try black instead of dark gray). As i said on sportslogos.net, i'm all about going gold or even a shiny copper depending on what kind of material Nike ends up using. It doesn't HAVE to be red and yellow for me to be satisfied but something that is not too drastically different from it. My biggest wish is we went with that recent alternate jersey concept you made for primary home and away use and had your late 90s blue for an alternate. I'd be set with that for the rest of my lifetime. But, like i said,i get that we all realize Les will never go back to that and doing a concept he would like makes sense.
I've always liked this one best...I just never liked this font. These with the 95 font would be cool..

Yep, that'd be me! Thanks! I feel i may sometimes be too picky when it comes to the Rockets to the point where i might never be happy so just throw out the old logo and uniforms and call it a day Les!
Yeah but....the old logo is kinda terrible. Love the old jerseys, But lets be real if the 90's logo (ie no sentimentality or nostalgia attached) was rolled out today it would be mocked ruthlessly.
