Rasmus started the season on fire, if he can regain his stroke then we have a legitimate shot at the Wildcard. Don't forget there was a reason he went into the crapper, dude had serious issues.

    Gattis, since June 1: .251/.318/.506/.824.
    Since August 1: .310/.376/.524/.900

He needs to be in the line-up every day right now. The odd man out is Marisnick - > .700 OPS since August 1. If Rasmus is going to steal ABs, there ya go. Put him in CF.

Gurriel and Gattis should (health-pending) be in the line-up every day, along with Altuve, Springer, Correa and Bregman. Ride whatever hot hand remains among the others.

It doesn't matter if you don't want to buy it. I actually watch the games. You can take that for what it's worth. They really should've won 2/3 against the Dodgers and 2/3 against the Rockies. But alas, they didn't. 6-4 isn't really a good indicator of how well they've played in the last 10. Hell you can just look at the entire month of August.

Lackey hasn't been out there in a couple of weeks now. There's a good shot they are going to rest pitchers in given spots during September and possibly go to a 6 man rotation. Either way, there's a chance the Astros could see a usual reliever starting for one those games.

That also makes sense. I just figure they're going to be cautious with hamstrings, even though he played the field last night.

Almost all of Gattis' success have come at C and/or against LHP. He should never, ever be DH'ing against a RHP with all of this talent on the roster. Especially when you don't have a 3rd C.

    ... in due time.

McHugh's career ERA vs OAK was sub-3.50 coming in... should be okay in that area too.

Collin just doesn't have the stuff to put hitters away. Hitters hitting over .300 when in 2 strike counts against him.

Terrible? It was offline, but had good velocity and made it on the fly which enabled Castro to make a very good play on the tag.

Remember that next time someone b!tches about Pettis.

Sometimes you make the guy make a throw and the fielder make a play or else you're safe. Castro made a play.
