Gomez' struggling pleases me. Rangers 2-1 since he's played with beast run-diff... need better results on those fronts, but mainly W-L.
There was good article earlier this year that basically said he is swinging and missing at pitches in the zone a lot more this year than ever before. Meaning a combination of loss of bat speed and maybe some difficulty picking up the ball. Honestly, that is likely due to age with the eyes but also the hip injury speeding up his aging and making him slower to swing.
It seemed that the best he was swinging the bat all year was that small stretch where he was wearing the glasses instead of contacts. Why he ever quit wearing the glasses while he was swinging well seems idiotic, especially with how superstitious ball players are.
Yea I agree with this Would have been an easy guy to like Except that all of the sudden he sucked at baseball Now that he is with the Rangers, hope he continues to suck
Think the rangers know he's a bad batter but they don't care because they are winning and he has same many runs in outfield. And they are getting same production out of gomez as they did out of delino.
