    4) Baseball...come on...where are the underdogs? do you gotta win 70% of your games to even make the damn cut?

    3) NFL. I actually think i like the season better than the playoffs. In the playoffs...the one game takes all, breaks my heart in the first round almost every year...and then, total opposite of the MLB, you got two teams who aren't the best in the finals...although they're on good streaks.

SuperBowl is arguably the best event in the year of sports...and i love it to death, but i'm not huge on the overall format of the playoffs.

I hate seeing a team that has played damn good all season have one bad game and lose it all. Or those damn injuries that lose your star player for the big game.

    2) NBA. Great pace, great format, always exciting -- after half time.

    1) NHL. Every hit counts, every shot counts, playoff beards, fights like never before...and more rivalries than in any other sport. Hockey has the most consistant rivalries...Avs/Detroit seem to meet quite a bit. Oilers/Stars is a huge rivalry. Canucks/Avs...Flyers/Leafs...Devils/WestChamp. Need more reasons? Goaltending is always stepped up. Brodeur/Giguere. Game 7's. Sudden death overtime. Did i mention fights like never before?

If you wanna see the most perfect mix of brutality/war with speed/grace...then this is the sport to watch.

it's not my favorite sport...but there's nothing like the intensity of the NHL playoffs, so it wins my vote.

The NHL is a different sport in the playoffs. The intensity is incredible.

I also enjoy MLB playoffs just because so few teams make it.

The best playoffs of all.....world cup soccer. National pride on the line. One bad game and you're out. And no redemption for four years.

I like all playoffs, but this year especially, MLB has been off the hook...

BNB is right. I didnt mention the World cup, but outside of tradituional professional leagues, i say the World Cup is it. I mean players have been killed over bad performances. and not too long ago.

I was up all night watching games last year.

I would never do that for anything but WC Soccer. certainly not superbowl, or game 7 in the WS or stanly cup. and the NBA finals suck with all the refs running the games.
