The bird could be Tyreke Evans? Does he fit in our system?

I was looking at Robin Lopez as a player with a bird name. As opposed to a team name such as Hawks or Pelicans. I looked for surnames with bird implications such as finch or cardinal bud did not find much. Maybe Larry Bird will join our team. Lets see, his three point shooting and lack of D fits right into our plans, even at his advanced age! ;)

If Codman is serious about a reversal of roles kind of trade, that would imply Dekker is involved. Battier was a vet we acquired in exchange for a promising rookie (Gay). If Gay is now the veteran acquired in exchange for Dekker that would sort of balance the cosmic scales.

I guess I just don't understand why it's a good idea to trade one of our few young assets for a guys like Rudy Gay. I want to trade for guys on the way up, not on the way down.

You beat me to it. Even right now, who can get a quality shot besides Hatden and maybe Gordon? I like Ariza, anyone around here know this, but if it meant getting a guy who can get a quality shot off against anyone, see you later Trevor.

Gay is the best available talent in the trade right now and the Kings aren't going to trade him for peanuts. You have to give up assets to acquire talent.

Now you're getting close but just missed the target. We're getting Paul George not Rudy Gay. It's supposed to be PG not RG. Codman getting so in depth on his coded he's forgetting how to spell and yes, you are losing Ariza in the trade.

Jrue Holliday would be a nice addition.

Of course Rubio would be nice but assets do we give up? If they're willing to take a pupu platter of Brewer Beasley Dekker Harrell Beverly KJ sure I'd be all for it. I'd have doubts trading Ariza for him.

Another player Codman could be referring to: Norris Cole? UFA, played in New Orleans last season. Hasn't signed anywhere...

I know I've brought him up before but it seems to make sense.

Norris Cole is another backup point guard. Not starter material.

Never said he was starter material.

If we are shipping out Beverely we are going to need another back up PG. Priggy Smalls isn't capable of doing so for an entire season. Dude is a thousand years old.

Norris Cole would be a hell of a pick up. He's won a ring, another option with Bev and Gordon at the other guard next to James. As much as I like Prigs, he shouldn't get any significant burn.

So are we legitimately gonna trade for Rudy Gay or na? Any news or rumors lately?

    Brewer/Daniels/Beasley/Harrell for Rudy Gay

Since Beasley's contract is now locked in he can be traded I suppose so the trade can go through.

    Bev/Prig
    Harden/Gordon
    Ariza/Gay/Dekker
    Anderson/DMo
    Capela/Nene/Onuaku

    To close out:
    Gordon
    Harden
    Ariza
    Gay
    Capela

    I'm happy with/without Gay.

We should have a chance in the Playoffs against GSW if we stay healthy.

The talent on the bench will give the starters less minutes, which translates to less potential for injuries.

    Bev should be 100%
    Harden should be 100%
    Ariza 100%
    DMo close to 100%
    Capela 100%
    Anderson close to 100%
    Nene close to 100%
Gordon should be close to 95%

That is probably our playoff lineup there. Gordon can play 1/2, Harden can slip to 3 and Anderson plays the 4, and Nene can play 4/5.

    I'm betting a bench of Prig/Gordon/Beasley/DMo/Nene isn't scaring anyone.

A bench lineup of Prig/Gordon/Gay/DMo/Nene is a little more worrisome.

I think with a coaching change, Beasley might not zone in. I think Gay will. Gay never had off the court issues to come back from, he's just been on teams where his motivations were tested. It's not like we are going to depend on Gay at the buzzer or anything. He would get less minutes here because we are so talented, and he's less of a wing than earlier in his career.

    What say ye?
