Ariza is an asset for sure, a player on a good contract. But Beverley? He wouldn't start on at least 25 NBA teams, and I'd rather have a top-30 draft pick project at PG than start Beverley. I don't think non-Rockets fans look favorably at Beverley. Kings also shouldn't take a bunch of nobodies that would do absolutely nothing for their team. They should look for late first round picks from the Clippers, Cavs, Spurs, or GSW. Beverley...come on man.
I'd throw in Beverley if we were to get McLemore or Collison back.. Hell, instead of Gay, why not go after Afflalo?

Zero percent chance we get Millsap unless in FA Zero percent chance Toronto trades Lowry. He's the best player on a ECF team.
I thought maybe it's Rudy Gay with Kyle Lowry and Terrence Ross from the other Codman post in the other thread (see above reference to pick-and-roll PG and Amber Rose dating sharpshooter/sneakerhead).
craguin, nice recap! I would be fine with moving Ariza+ in a Millsap package. Especially if a follow up move could be adding Terence Ross to fill the Ariza void. Any of these bigger trades basically means using DMo in a S&T.
Ehhh kinda not really. Iggy has the attributes of a perfect role player. Gay is a volume scorer who's not good enough to be a top 3 option. The way I see it, our 3 best players (Harden, Anderson, Gordon) aren't strong defensively so it's almost mandatory for everyone surrounding those 3 to be superior defenders which Gay is not. That being said he'd be an upgrade to Brewer so I'm all for it.
okay our biggest problem last year was not being able to score when harden left the floor. With the addition of anderson and gordon. That change that. But now if we get Rudy gay. We might score 130pt a game.

Don't think Sac would want Bev anyway. Pat is most valuable to teams like Cleveland or Philadelphia, because those teams do not need a true PG. Gay is interesting and could fit (although Ariza is a better fit). Too bad Gay never reached his potential. People were comparing him to Scottie Pippen, ball handling wing, when he first came out. He's more of a PF now and the Rockets are chock full at PF. His game is very reminiscent of Carmelo or Beasley. Boogie makes more sense as Sac trade target. But would not be completely disappointed if Rockets ended up with Gay.
