CH 51 Reception?

    Is it me or does the cable reception suck in the sugar land area? Anyone else having this problem, I get Channel 2 news, a scrambled image, and some Rockets clips every now and then all at once. Even the audio fades in and out when my Sony WEGA tells me no signal. GRRRRR!!!! :mad:

    I get better reception in my car driving around town than I get through Time Warner and Im paying them $70 a month! :mad:

    their reception has always been horrible, and i live in the 024

    I called the cable company last year, and they were able to come out and fix it for me. They said that a loose cable at the main antenna connection can give you bad reception on 51 (even though everything else is clear) because the station has such a weak signal. But he tightened the conection and my reception and sound quality really improved.

    I have to second Boki94eva's post. We were getting KPRC stronger than 51, but he replaced a cable from the main feed, after tightening every connection in the house and it made a world of difference. The problem is that we are so close to the antenna farm where Hillcroft dead ends in Missouri City. That much power and a week signal from 51 means any loose connection at all allows KPRC to get into the system as strong as 51's cable signal.

    Quit yer bithin', at least y'all get channel 51, after a while watching the game on cbs sportsline gets old.

    You will get better pictures with an antenna.
