what, you mean like the crap that you spout DD? I thought you knew every inch of DMo's back. you've been so emphatic that his back is fine. I just figured you were medically connected to him in some way.

That is recycled from Mark Berman's info of yesterday, in an interview for Fox26 with DMo calling-in from Lithuania...see the link provided in that rotoworld post

Here...might as well post the whole article, from yesterday, which caused the uptick of posts in this thread:

Motiejunas talking with Rockets and other teams
exclusive interview by Mark Berman -- July 19, 2016

Forward Donatas Motiejunas would be happy to return to the Houston Rockets, but he said other teams are talking with his agent.

Motiejunas is a restricted free agent and the Rockets retain the right to match any offer he gets, but he points out he could still wind up elsewhere.

"Yeah of course," Motiejunas said in an interview with FOX 26 Sports from Lithuania. "There are a couple of teams that still have a lot of interest in me.

"I'm not necessarily back. There are teams that also have a chance to offer (a contract). You never know what's going to happen, but if it ends up I'm coming back, I'm really happy.

"I spent four beautiful years with the Rockets, and I'll be happy to wear the red color another three-four (years), whatever it's going to be."

Motiejunas said his agent is in communication with the Rockets.

"I talked to my agent today, in the morning, and he told me that he's been talking with the Rockets the last couple of days," Motiejunas said. I'm pretty confident everything is going to turn out for the best.

"Both sides are talking and trying to get an agreement. We're working on it, and I think it's a matter of time when everything is going to clear up."

Meanwhile, Motiejunas is disappointed that he had no choice but to turn down an opportunity to play for his national team in the Olympics.

"I couldn't go because the team just left today to Spain to play some friendly games," Motiejunas said. "The Federation asked me to tell them if I'm in or not, and I told them without a contract I cannot really go because of insurance problems. I didn't want to risk (injury) in that situation.

Motiejunas said he is not having any issues with his back, which limited him to 37 games last season.

"It's all good," Motiejunas said. "I'm working out. I have no problems. I'm just sitting and waiting at this point."

That's the first time I've read the entire thing, which sounds more upbeat than some of the quotes. Thanks, heypartner!

The one added take-away from DMo's interview with Berman, yesterday, is the talk of "insurance problems," "risk of injury" and "I'm just sitting and waiting," sounds like DMo is not getting in any work-outs, certainly not playing, for rightful worry of injury w/o contract in place.

So, when capologists say that the longer this lasts the better for the Rockets, just understand that that is merely theoretical focus on cap flexibility and is actually counterproductive to team development and chemistry building. DMo would be with Harden and Coach right now with the rest of the team who is volunteering to work out together.

Let's hope this doesn't drag out until September 24th, like Morey did to Carl Landry.

Also note the comment about "the last couple of days." Sounds like Watkins tweet about "continue to talk" was in reference to resuming talks, vs being a nothing tweet about they are still talking.

Resuming talks ("the last couple of days") makes sense because SL ended, and Morey probably wasn't going to talk with Onuaku and other rookies until after they were done.

Onuaku's contract is the domino that must fall before signing DMo. But since there is no more excuse of Summer League, DMo and his agent aren't going to give Morey much more time to sign Onuaku...that's my bet.

Onuaku just signed a 3 year deal and Nene has signed as well. DMO next?

    Onuaku just signed.

Now it is finally DMo's turn.

Put it this way: if a ~$10m/yr contract isn't signed by end of the week, then there never was any big agreement in place July 1st.

    Wonder what the plan is
    DMo
    Anderson
    Beas
    Nene
    Capella
    Harrell
    Onuaku

That's a lot of bigs. Doesn't make much sense

    It make sense.
Harrel land Onuaku wont see any minutes. Nene wont see much time either. Beastley will get 15minutes of the bench. While the rest of the minutes will be split between DMo, Anderson and Capella (if DMo signs).

Don't be surprised if Nene gets more playing time than Beasley.

Nene will get minutes he's our best interior defender and a great passer. Even at his age he will get time.

Because of the relentless hustle on defense and rebounding of Harrell, he will land minutes soon enough.

It makes sense, how many of those can you count on to not get hurt?

    Onuaku is not ready.
    Capela will get steady minutes.
Ryno/Nene/DMo will probably be playing injury musical chairs.
Beas and Harrell likely to step in because see above.

    My guess.

Also, count on D'Antoni going with Bev, Haden, Gordon, Ariza and Anderson in the 4th when needing a double-digit comeback. I'm other words, don't give all 48 minutes to bigs. We will play with only one big in several scenarios.

So roll with 3 guys that don't defend at all when you need a comeback? Sounds like a better way to create a need for a double digit comeback than anything.

It's OK to say D'Antoni will never field that lineup. But if he does, the need for a comeback is the most obvious time to field it.

I'm just saying, anyone who is trying to carve up minutes should expect very real scenarios of Ariza getting minutes at the 4. You can yell at Ariza at the 4 all you want, but it will happen, especially in games Anderson is out.

I doubt Harrell gets more minutes than Ariza at the 4.

I just think that if DMo returns, there's so much depth at the 4 there's no reason to play Ariza at PF. Some have pointed to his heavy minutes as the reason he was such garbage in the playoffs and why his defensive numbers took a dive last season.

I'd much rather we play the big men we have and give Ariza more of a breather so he can hit 3's at a decent rate and play some defense when he's on the court. With the crazy depth at the 4 and 5, there's just no reason for it.
