Dmo is worth a risk considering his form prior to the injury on 2015. At least 1+1.
Above all, he has a great work-ethic. One way or another, he always turns out to be a valuable player.

In lieu of signing dmo to a big 4 year deal or signing and trading dmo on a big 4 year deal, Rox are attempting to get dmo to accept the qualifying offer using the attraction of free agency next summer where they will put a larger 5 year deal on the table for him. Dmo having to decide whether to take big 4 year deal now or play on a one year deal and trusting Rockets to make it up to him next summer. No guarantees of course. If dmo accepts qualifying offer or some sort of 1+1 deal for about half the max then you can consider it a sensational sales job by mda, morey, and James. Dmo already has a big money four-year deal guaranteed that he will have to forego to accept the qo or smaller 1+1 deal.

This is the ultimate hedging your bets post. LOL I can't even believe you would say this.

Basically "no matter what scenario plays out, I'm an insider guyz!"

DMo gets signed and traded...see I told you!
DMO signs a big money extension...see I told you!
DMo takes qualifying offer...see I told you!

I hear that literally anything, or nothing, could happen in the next 12-24 hours.

Well, we know one thing. Either the Bucks didn't want him, or he didn't want to play for the Bucks, because that Plumlee contract is pretty sweet. He would have given them someone to backup two positions instead of just one like Miles.

I'll tell you another thing we know. Either Durant didn't want the Rockets or the Rockets didn't want Durant.

In fact, I know that about every player who isn't currently a Rocket. :)

Most likely scenario is a sign-and-trade resolution with DMo. Going to be very difficult to get him to pass on large four year deal already on table.

So, using process of elimination, this probably means that dmo signs some sort of multi-year deal with us.

all dmo has to do is look at Ty Lawson and what happened to his wallet when he was convinced to opt out.

Bucks don't have cap room they signed him with bird rights.

That's what he does. And that's what he brings to the GARM.

Hmm.... So DMO could sign an off sheet for a 4 year deal....Or could sign an off sheet for less than a 4 year deal.... Or could sign the qualifying offer... Or could sign long term with the Rockets....

    Glad we have clarity now.

Josh Smith could be the prototypical MDA power forward, if his jump shot was more consistent. Not even talking about his 3 pointer, which also needs work. But their is no denying that Smoove was the ball handler off the bench during the run to the WCF. Smoove can also play the 5 when Rockets go small. Would not mind this signing if on same min contract the past 2 seasons, or even a little more.

I'm not siding with bballholic, but I can see merit in doing a SnT with DMo & Brewer for Bledsoe.

Bender, Chandler, Chriss and Len. I can't see why they'd do that.

The BS call isn't about a SnT. It is about there already being a big 4yr offer on the table, since day 1. The "you'll see" prediction is what bbholic is hedging his bets on now by suggestion that anything can happen, and rationalizing why no side will use the 4yr offer on the table now.
