remember the meeting with mda and promo video, and you will understand why DMo haven received any "official offers".

Not happening. Everyone know Manu will play all carrier with Spurs, but Philly make the offer and now Spurs had to pay +$9mil more..

I think it is fair to say that if another team was going to offer a contract higher than his 5 mil qualifying offer it would have happened by now.

My theory is that teams who are interested in him are only willing to offer what they know the rockets would match.

So why bother? There is no white knight team swooping in with a 60mil+ multi year deal to save DMO's off season.

What I laid out earlier are DMO's must realistic options at this point.

But that is just my opinion.

How do you know DMo hasn't had an offer? You don't.

I just don't understand how Manu used Philly as leverage. He would never spend his last year in the league with the worst team in the league.

I am a little worried about Dmo. Do teams think his latest injury is too serious to take a risk on him?

LOL I said it was my opinion. I did not say it was fact.

90% of deals leak if they are serious offers. Even peon deals of the likes of Terrance Jones to the pelicans leak.

Some one would have heard something by now and released it.

Fegan and Watkins have both tweeted in recent days that DMO is still negotiating with the rockets. There has not been a peep about him having meaning full talks with other teams.

To each his own I guess.

92.37485% of percentages of this nature are made up on the spot with nothing concrete to back them up.

Philly can and should offer Dmo an contract. They are not even close to the salary threshold and need a PF since they want to get rid of a center

    Touche

    Do like this better.

    Most deals get leaked.

If you don't believe me go look at the first post of contract deal leak threads in NBA action.

DMo doesnt need "white knight" team to increase his offer for Rockets to "match", DMo and Rockets already agreed to something, but we will only know this when it becomes official.

    opticon,

I actually agree with you. I think the Rockets gave him the framework of an offer that he and his agent liked, but also explained how it benefits him and the team to give Morey time to use the capspace to surround him with shooters. :)

But that theory really has an expiration date imo. If we don't sign Onusku within a few days, which is Morey's last excuse for not signing DMo, then I'd get pissed if I were DMo and have my agent start making noise

But then again, maybe there is no offer from Morey, and he wants to force an offer sheet like his shrewd plays with Lowry and Landry. Then this could drag on a long time

Bottomline: if he isn't signed immediately after Onuaku, then there was no Rockets offer

I agree as well, the Onuaku shoe needs to drop.

This is just my feeling here.

This seems really similar to when we had to resign Scola. There was not alot of movement till rumors came out of him having offers to play over seas.

My hope is that the Onuaku deal gets done then Dmo gets signed.

I would be a shame if things got Ugly with Dmo after us pitching to him that we wanted him.

Careful. Don't say anything harsh about their hero Dmo.

    Manu wasn't a RFA.

Don't be ridiculous guys. Rockets and D-Mo have certainly already pre-agreed a deal that is based on DMo's agent speaking to 29 other teams and finding the best offer. That is the only reason why D-Mo would wait for the Rockets to shuffle other stuff around, otherwise there is no incentive.

And you know this how??? Or are you just speculating just the rest of us?

Nobody knows what's going on with the Rockets and Dmo. So let's not act like we do.

    I'm just saying!

    Logic.

If he were on the market this long, we'd sign him for the minimum now. You want to make a tip jar bet that he'll make at least 3-4 times that amount per season?

    Logic

    Don't you mean soeculation?

Again nobody on here knows what's going on between the two party's.

What I do know is they didn't take this long to resign both Beverley and Brewer.

If Dmo was that valuable, he would have been signed already.
