Guys, we're going to be good again! The announcer will start saying "For Tres!" which has been one of the staples of our teams in the last few years. Notice we didn't do so hot last year (no for tres guys)
Beverley/Prig Harden/Gordon Ariza/Brewer/KJ/Dekker Anderson/Beasley/Harrell Capela/Nene I would be happier with this signing if there was somebody between Patrick and Pablo. I know Harden is going to be playing point but it still make Prig at worst the fourth guard. I don't like that.
I liked Prig's game, but he is ancient. More ancient than Terry. Hopefully he's a great locker room voice because I'm not expecting much out of him physically.
I missed him last year, he was a solid handle running the 2nd team, far too many turnovers last year just trying to set up plays. Will not happen this upcoming season with Priggs running the point.
LOL at everyone getting their jimmies rustled over signing Pablo to a vet minimum deal as an emergency/backup PG.
Could have had Lawson, Foye, Brooks, or Canaan for the minimum. Glad to see that Dantoni has attracted such great upcoming talent to Houston as Morey and Les kept selling the fanbase on. Maybe in 3 or 4 years he can talk Duncan out of retirement. Geez, I thought Nene was too old at 33. Now thinking we should have signed him to a 5 year deal with a team option in year 6. Once again, where are all the players we were promised who would come here for the opportunity to play for MD??? Sad, because I really thought that we would get more this offseason than Anderson, Gordan and two has beens with the 40+ million available due to the Howard departure. Also depressing is that we have no young stars in the making other than Capella and that does not bode well for competing in the near future.
Who will have the better Rockets "comeback" year? Steve Francis ('08) Chuck Hayes ('15) Pablo Prigioni ('16) Just level setting expectations here.
1. We're talking about a third string guard, fresh off of Morey saying Gordon would take most of the backup guard minutes. 2. There is still time before the season for Morey to make more moves. We're not at the trade deadline, and we haven't played any games yet. 3. When Prigioni was here, he was 'solid'. While he won't bring flashiness, he will bring a steady hand when you just need someone to make safe decisions and get get everyone to their spots. Conclusion: relax.
Honestly I didn't think Prigioni got enough playing time his first go round with the Rockets. I was a big fan of the trade that brought him in here and I'm glad to have him back. I would like a more talented player added to this roster of course.
We are just going to have to live with the fact that the Rockets will be a mediocore team until Durants contract expires in Golden State, but on the bright side Les will enjoy the games more with MDA as coach.
