Do come back and tell me what it's like being a fan of the Washington Generals, Shanghai Sharks, or wherever your boy Jones lands.

For the hundred times I've been a diehard Rockets fan since the 80's. I only have Dream, Franchise, Tmac and Harden Rockets basketball jerseys. I don't join sports forums because of any damn player. I join them because of the love I have for my home teams.

There's no way you've been a fan that long and are still this awful at player evaluation. I simply don't want to believe that level of ineptitude exists.

Dude you should have him on ignore a long time ago. He writes nothing worth reading. But he's able to bait you into an argument with his digs. You're better than that. You have more to contribute than responding to him. Please put him on ignore.

Even when he knows it's garbage he's spewing, he never stops.

Probably good advice. I keep hoping that at some point in the future he'll contribute something intelligent to the board, maybe I should just give up on him.

Eh, i like Dragic but since we know he doesn't want to be here i'm not sure why we should trade for him...maybe to trade him later?

To the bolded: That is most certainly true , thing is the Rockets don't have much in the way of trade assets , at least in my opinion.

They'll be able to trade next years #1 selection , after they use the pick. Since they traded last years #1 they have to make a selection in next years 1st round per league rules. They can trade the rights to that player after .... but I don't see that as being as valuable as an actual draft pick.

The young players on the roster don't appear to have much value / upside save for maybe Capela and in their current state , I'd find it difficult to deal him. KJ , Dekker , Harrell , you probably couldn't package them for much.

The vets played poorly last season - Brewer & Ariza would be value contracts had they equaled their play from the prior season , but after last seasons debacle , they appear overpaid.

Beasley was out of the league before catching on at the end of last season .... he'd be no more than salary filler , and not much of that.

Hindsight being 20-20 , they should have traded Dwert for whatever they could get in the way of expiring contracts & picks at the deadline last season which would have given them some ammunition to improve for the future. (I blame that on Les , we all know he wont tank).

As for DMo's contract situation , I agree that the longer it drags on , the better it appears for the Rockets as its less likely any team is going to offer him a deal that overpays , or that the Rockets wont match.
Delaying a resolution to DMo's situation along with that of delaying the inking of Nene with a salary cap exception also leaves the team some maneuvering room under the cap should help be available in what is left of the free agent market since both can be signed above the cap.

This is the most idiotic statements you've made so far. And bro you have a bunch of them.

So by your sport ass theory McHale and a host of other Coaches and GM'S couldn't have played or followed this game long because they're not good at evaluating talent. The entire 76ers staff needs to be fired. McHale should not ever coach again or work for another NBA organization because he chose Jones over Dmo.

Yeah take basketballholic advice and put me on ignore. It's amazes me how sensitive people get when someone disagrees with them.

It's not that serious unless you're just that damn weak minded.

    "You have a needle dick!"
'No, you have the needle dick!'

Why do all long threads come down to this?

That is incorrect. The rule is a team can not trade away successive future first round picks. A team can trade this years pick every year as long as they have next years pick in hand.

It is the Septian Rule. Ex owner of the Cavs. I think at one point he had traded about 7 years of future picks, then wanted to sell the team. NBA saw the problem with that.

It's so weird the way you have conversations with yourself here, just out in the open, in front of everyone.

Whatever gets you through the night, I suppose.

We just signed Pablo Prigioni to a two year deal but what about Dmo.
