Hopefully this is better than the Polish festival 10 or so months ago. That was terrible. Food was bought from an HEB deli and the lemonade had shreds of paper in it. A lot, not just a little. And it was like $3.

The food will be prepared by Phoenicia Specialty Foods, and the adult beverages are being imported from Egypt.

Honest question, are these festivals ever worth the hassle of parking, crowds, etc?

The food isn't really a draw since you can find it readily throughout Houston

    Hmm I'm interested.

But like someone above mentioned, ancient or modern Egypt?

The cultural emphasis is on Ancient Egypt - there will be exhibits and artifacts, hieroglyphics station, belly dancing, hookah, camel rides. The food and beverage will be more modern Egyptian cuisine.
