read it earlier. was surprised Nick the Brick didn't make the cut.

Not surprisingly, all the ESPN comments are whining about the Warriors not being included. It was a choke certainly, but a lot of 3-1 leads have been lost. They were up against Lebron. There was a suspension, etc. Maybe it should be there, but I'm not torn up

Given the criteria, I don't honestly think it could take the stop spot. It wasn't a significant game in the grand scheme of the NFL playoffs, the Oilers were great but not a juggernaut themselves, and the truth is that buffalo's choke was even worse as they went on. And we did make a key FG in that game to tie it up. So while epic, I don't put it in the same realm as say Yankees - Red Sox.

How many times in the Finals has a team blown a 3-1 lead?

2 of the 3 games were in Golden State and they won an NBA record 73 games during the regular season, it is really hard to think of a bigger sports collapse.

it was a wild card game. It shouldn't be no.1 except for the fact that espn likes to crap on our city.

No 8 seed Warriors beat No 1 seed Mavericks didn't make the cut either

I believe Mavs were a 67 win team that year if I remember correctly.

This years Warriors collapse has to be one of the biggest in history. Of course it won't make that list though.. ESPN at it's finest.

Only one NBA team? Weird. Or they did that explicitly to protect GSW. Also, no NHL right? Didn't someone lose a 3-0 lead recently.

Dude must be a baseball and golf fan...that makes up about 20 of the 25.

Blowing a 3-1 lead in the Finals after setting the regular season win record needs to be on the list. Not surprised for a second that it's not.

Hadn't happened in the NBA, but has in other sports. Given that this is an all-sports list, that's relevant. Yeah they just set the record, but they weren't facing a scrub team by any means either. The other team had blazed through the other half of the bracket.

Maybe I'm getting too used to it given the 3-1 comebacks that seem to happen every year. Maybe it's just too recent for me right now. But it didn't feel like a collapse/choke job as much as Cleveland just being the better team.

I swear ESPN's sole purpose in life is to troll Houston sports fans.

It's a pretty big deal. There was an all country artist superbowl halftime show planned. Because it was supposed to be a all Texas superbowl.

The Oilers would maybe still be in Houston if it were not for that game and they went on to the superbowl. But they lost, the Oilers left. And now Houston is left with the stupid Texans and their crappy team, and CRAPPY name.

Bubba McDowell was a safety not a linebacker.

    Carry on.

1992 were an inconsistency mess and didn't even win their division. They had to go on the road for the wild card game so that means they were the lowest seed in the playoffs. They shouldn't have blown the game, but it was typical that year because they lost plenty of games they should have won.

The game everyone should really hate was the one at home against Montana. That was the best Oilers team ever.

There's many games to hate. Some due to own errors and some bad luck. The Renfro catch would have automatically decreased half the local-born Cowboy love.

Luckily, NC State wasn't listed to add more negativity.

Texans and Astros have hope, but the city is cursed until proven otherwise.

What about the "Miracle on Ice"? The Soviets were dominating having gone undefeated in group play and outscoring their opponents 51 to 11 in 5 games. They had stomped the USA 10 -3 at Madison Square Garden just two weeks prior.

Pats should have made the list when they went undefeated and lost in the SB
