Dekker doesn't remind me of Parsons or Bud, nothing he does makes me think of either of those players. Watching him move makes me think of Walt Garrison for some reason (if Walt had been a basketball player).

He actually had some nice moments yesterday, if only against non-NBAers. Let's keep hope alive: if he can turn into Larry Bird, we'll win it all this year. Maybe.

He was a great college player and I understood the draft pick at the time. He'll never recover from that back surgery though. They'll just test the waters until he is out of contract and then he will be cut.

Considering you are asking at CF.net, I'd say

    Upside
    1) Greatest player ever
    2) Durant wants to sign with Dekker's team
    3) its OK for Sam to TELL Lebron "don't forget the donuts again"
    4) Jordan calls him "sir"

    Downside
    1) Garbage
    2) Fire Morey!, for wasting a mid round pick on this piece of crap.
    3) Cheap b*stard Less

But for sure, nothing in between

I thought he was the best looking player on the court in yesterday's game.

Dekker was the reason Wisconsin made it to the NCAA finals.
Just chill, the guy had back surgery and it takes time to recover as both Dwight and DMo have shown!

This entire thread just smells of racism!

I like Dekker he has some potential. Good size and if he hits the 3 consistently he'll be a nice weapon to have. We have got to give him time to adjust to the NBA game

Dekker can really handle handle the ball well for a guy his size...and has great instincts/feel for the game....smart player. He can shoot it and is a good defender. I like that he finds a way to finish inside..and has that athleticism. All this and the fact he stepped up in big games against the best competition.

Assuming good health, he is AT MINIMUM a solid rotation player....

Matter of time with this kid IMO.

People criticizing Dekker after yesterday's performance either didn't watch the game or have some type of prejudice against him....He was the best player on the court by far.

Dekker and Harrell will be heard from in a big way this year, barring injury.

Looked good in the highlights. Scared me when he got fouled near the rim--both times looked to come up a little gingerly. Maybe I'm just being oversensitive after last year. Also looked very right-dominant in the highlight..makes me question if he could handle NBA players pushing him left. We'll see I suppose.
