A faint chant of "Lets go Red Sox" in Oakland, CA thousands of miles away from Boston, MA I almost feel bad for the A's when they get cheered against..... Its like playing on the road. What home field advantage? Cubs fans in Atlanta? Red Sox fans in Oakland?? I dont get it. Would we really hear Astros fans in Atlanta?? Probably not.... Sucks for the home team.
They probably do care... but its just that Cubs and Red Sox fans care that much more. There's nothing to compare the rabidty of those fans. You think we're all big Rockets fans with the way we support this website? Multiply that by 1000 and thats the level of fandom those teams have.
Uh, check the A's regular season attendance. They average well below 15k a game, IIRC. Atl fans rarely sell out playoff games, they only did in this series because of the Cubs fans. It seems like ATL has more fans outside of ATL than inside the city.
exactly and this is because people who live from atlanta, aren't from atlanta most of them are transplants from the east and midwest
