I just don't understand why some of you get upset when fans of other teams post here in order to talk trash. I think it's great. That's half the fun of being a fan of any particular team. Otherwise, we'd just be fans of the game in general, and wouldn't care too much who wins. So post on, Blazerchicks, and post often. I don't imagine we'll be hearing too much from you after we kick your silly little asses.

Gascon: When you focus on trashtalk, thinks can devolve pretty quickly. It's fine when there's one person, but do you really want 30 people from other teams over here doing nothing but attacking our team? When that happens, boards get torn down. There's nothing worse than a protracted flame war.

This board is great because it has so many great posters. Those posters aren't going to keep coming back of all the threads get reduced into juvenile trash talking. There are plenty of other boards like that out there: just go to espn.com, etc. I hope that clutchcity.net continues to be something else, a place to analyze, and talk, and learn. I don't want to see it filled with threads like "Our team will kick your teams a$$." That's boring.

blazergirl: I'm not sure if I'll be there tonight or not. I work till 7pm, then have a BC Democrat officers meeting. If that ends in time, I'll be there.

I agree with what you're saying if all of the threads were in fact bogged down with trash talk. However, one of the great things about this site (kudos to CCNet) is that you can choose from a myriad of different topics. If a topic, like this one, is dedicated to trash-talk, then you don't have to read it or post in it. I enjoy a little rivalry to a certain point, then I tire of it. When I reach that point, I just leave the topic...as I just did...and go somewhere else only to return if I feel like.

I think it is particularly funny when a fan from another team decides to provoke a little "friendly" banter on this site, as so many of the posters here (like you, haven) know so much more about what they're talking about than the offending posters. It makes me chuckle when they decide to bring that kind of sh** storm down on themselves.

So, like I said, post on!

Gascon: I understand... it is fun to let loose with the banter now and then. Just sort of afraid that if we let too much go then the deluge will come. I don't mind an occasional thread now and then either. Just prefer to nip it at the bud so that they don't bring all their friends next time .

When there's just one or two threads, it's easy to ignore it. But when there are 20, and they're clogging the board, etc... it becomes more difficult. Sorry if I seem stuffy or mean-spirited!

Nevermind... you'll understand when you get in the chat if he's around (and if he lasts the whole chat ).

Since you don't frequent the chat that often, here are some rules to go by. Try not to cuss, try not to be completely obnoxious, and of course all "Blazer Rules" are in effect. Translated : no crack, no weed, no creating of illegitimate children except during halftime shows (at which point, much to your dismay, they're your responsibility), no under-aged groupies in chat, and no referring back to "the glory days" which no one else remembers. Got it? Good.


Oh, and we'll be waiting for that ass kiss as you suggested...
