Lap pools in Houston

    Memorial Aquatic Center looks awesome, but you have to buy a $60/month membership to their club in order to access the pool. My fitness budget is already tied up elsewhere, so I can't afford to add that on top. Anyone know if any lap pools are available for use without buying a gym/YMCA membership? Like with a per-use fee (like Deep Eddy in Austin)?

    the pool by the memorial park running loop is about $1 to enter

    Doesn't the Stude Park pool have adult swim times?

    Here's a whole list of the public pools. Not all of them will be big enough. Keep us posted if you find something.

    I guess public pools close on Labor Day, right? So just a temporary fix.

    I think swimming pools would be a lot more interesting if they were shaped like Formula Grand Prix tracks.
