Outside of some games, mainly playoffs, I don't think the NBA is that entertaining. Games take too long, replays, hacking, softness, flopping, lack of competitiveness and killer mentality and the emphasis on threes. Give me 90s game where teams knock each other to the floor from time to time, almost get into a fight, play from close to midrange with combined 10-15 threes made and I'm good. I only watch highlights and the occasional Rockets game because I just cannot help myself.

I've slowly lost interest with time.

Too many heartbreaks with the Rockets over the last 20 years with a dip**** owner who hasn't learned to respect the rebuilding process.

The answer to your question is, posting ABOUT the NBA on CF.net is more fun than actually watching the NBA.

TBH, I often found myself in the past season checking and posting on CF while the Rockets were playing, and forgot about the game. I'd almost never done that in the past.

Maybe I'm being naive but I don't consider the Abomination Warriors to be a mortal lock for the championship. I think this beta, "strength-in-numbers", protecting my brand BS has to ultimately fail if there is any justice in the universe.

SA-GS, CLE-GS and yes even HOU-GS and OKC-GS (for the narrative) will be entertaining to watch. Any team with effective bigs will challenge them, no more Bogut enforcer. Everyone seems to be forgetting Durant's serious foot issues.

Exactly isn't that the way that the fat dork tried to get us to play. If it wasn't for green getting suspended the Warriors win game five and KD doesn't go there.

    Reasons why I don't watch basketball :
    1. Little skill involved. It's a game mostly of pure athletics. Players who can't shoot a ball are hall of famers just because they were born really tall and could jump high.
    2. The NBA rigs games. Out of all the major professional sports, it's only the NBA that has a reputation for the sport's governing body meddling with results.
    3. Little real talent in the league. There are only a handful of players I'd like to watch.
    4. The competition is better. Soccer and NFL are more enjoyable although I stopped watching NFL was well due to the non stop ads.

Basketball games have always been entertaining to me, when I can watch them.

What 6 teams do you feel have a realistic shot?

    Warriors
    Spurs
    Cavs
    Celtics
    Clippers?

    If you appreciate

    Passing
    Shooting
    Teamwork
    Defense
    Effort
    Selflessness
    Heart

How can the Warriors not be wildly entertaining even when they're winning by 30?

As long as there is an infusion of talented rookies, the nba will be fine. The only point at which it fails is if fans lose interest in watching their teams, but because there are potentials in the draft there will always be an interest in watching your team. Having stronger bird rights to keep franchise players would help, but with the cap the way it is that is pretty much out of play and irrelevant.

    What a night!

    Wade to Bulls

Jeremy Lin loses his starting job, then keep his starting job...at least for another month
