While LBJ probably started this whole super team thing, it's a not a fair comparison to Durant

LeBron was the undoubted #1 guy both at the Heat and Cavs. Both those teams were not in the same stratosphere as GSW are now prior to Bron joining them. They were his teams.

If Durant just wants to win a championship as the #2 or #3 guy at GSW, more power to him. Having watched Durant all these years, I thought he wanted to be seen as one of the best. Maybe things have changed off late in his thought process and he just wants to ring.

Even if he rings with GSW, it will tarnish his overall legacy and place in the game amongst the historical greats.

Didn't think I'd have such strong feelings about this either way but it's just so disappointing what the NBA, my favorite sport, has become. I really liked Durant and now his is just a chump to me. Soooo disappointing. Don't be surprised if Harden bolts for the next super team. Like I said earlier in this thread, **** them all.

KD is the ultimate sellout. Imagine if MJ signed with the pistons after the 88 season (after getting embarrassed by them). It's sad that the NBA is now littered with a bunch pussified athletes.

I mean if anybody deserves a super team it's Harden. When was the last time he played with a legit superstar? But I agree with you, this was one weak-ass, bi*ch move by Durant.

I always thought he would either join the Warriors, or the Spurs had he decided to leave OKC. Those are the only two teams play "team oriented" basketball, and he would just fit in without much effort at all.

    Great decision for him.

Umm...OKC was a contending team.

I really thought Durant was the type to lead a team to a title, not join an already title contender. Really disappointed. I thought after the Ibaka trade OKC vs Warriors was going to be so much fun, but instead its one sided. I know Westbrook might leave after next year but even if he chose the Lakers I would have more respect for him since he wants to be the man. The Warriors are still going to be identified as Curry's team not Durant's.

I lost some respect for those fans when they left early in Game 5. Yes, the Cavs were up big, but it's a closeout game for the title for chrissakes! Stay til the final buzzer!

for all the hate that harden gets, he actually left 2 superstars to lead his own team. quite a contrast with how p***y durant has crawled to 3 stars in hopes of an easy ring.

Golden State = bandwagon fans, not all, but for the most part.

Just watch, people are gonna say the Warriors are the greatest team ever, but its really a moot point. With 4 of the top players on the same team, what do you expect?

Also, whatever "rings" KD gets with this team will have a HUGE asterisk right next to it.

Exactly. The Thunder were UP 3-1 on the Warriors. Had Durant not choked in Game 6, they would've gone to the Finals and probably won the whole thing. No way would Tristan Thompson have his way against Ibaka, Adams, and Kanter. And imagine Irving having to deal with Westbrook every night.

Sorry, but there's no other way to spin this. He bailed on a contender to join a team that was already a champion.

Warriors should win next one, on paper nothing can stand in the way.

Even Cleveland will not be able to beat this bunch.

I know they did it in 7 but that was before KD.

By the way, this is just not fair but KD has a right to choose where he wants to work.

Assuming he wins a ring, he would be a champion and that to him is worth more than anything, including negative comments from whoever.

Good luck to rest of the league.

Nike smh pressured Durant to go to GSW? Who you think will buy now your shoes except GSW badnwagoners? Every other nba fan of all the other teams now has lost respect for him.

    Cleveland has no chance.

Curry was basically not the same player in the finals due to his injury.

I agree Lebron got no respect for his rings with Miami. He was mostly a laughing stock. This year he is more respected because he went home and beat a 73 win team. His ring this year means more than any Miami ring. KD will learn that soon.

Yeah..this isn't the same thing as LBJ going to Miami. The Cleveland team he left had no one besides him. The Heat didn't win 73 games the previous year.
