    Now that the competitive balance of the West is no longer of any significance, it is time to appreciate Les for at least bringing us an entertaining offense next season. We will be watchable and highly entertaining. In fact, the Durant signing probably guarentees us a playoff spot as we will replace OKC in the top eight.

    The competitve balance of the LEAGUE is gone. Not just the West.

    GS might not lose a game.

    **** is Globetrotters vs. Generals status now

    Come on, GS got better on offense, but their defense got worse, these things rarely work out like people think they do.

    But "we feel like we just want to win all the time". So we've done the smart thing: locking ourselves into Ryan Anderson at $20 mil for the next four years. Yay!

    Well we found out why Durant wouldn't even grant Houston a meeting.

    It was never about the money (gotta respect that), or playing with friends...

    In Durant's mind, it is better to play with enemies and take the path of least resistance to win.

    After all of the diva talk from Ayesha, Steph, Klay, Kerr, and Green during the finals, this just pumps continuous fuel into that fire through 2017.

    It will be an entertaining season, in a twisted way, watching all 29 teams take their best shots at Golden State.

    Durant kind of put himself in a no-win situation as far as public opinion goes. Winning or losing with Golden State isn't really going to change the impact today will have on his legacy until he leaves and becomes the hero in a different market (a la Lebron in Cleveland).

    Golden states strength of having the best bench in the league is gone now. That will be a big hit on their overall record.

    On a positive note, they just signed Mike Brown as their top assistant....that should cost them a few victories.

    They can win any game without playing defense.

    Warriors are one injury away from being much worse than last year.

    They are going to lose a lot of depth.

    I hope the Cavs can sign DWade and see what happens.

    Bring Kobe out of retirement for the second half playoff run off the bench.

    One can dream.

    Lebron, Wade, Kobe vs GSW.

    Every team in the NBA has had a very difficult time outscoring the Warriors the past two seasons at least. They add Kevin Durant, and you guys think this will make it easier for the rest of the league?

    Rockets the Cabs of the West:

    Harden = LeBron
    Anderson = Love
    Gordon = Irving
    Beasley = Smith
    Etc. = Etc.

    What is KD's legacy anyways? He is a great player but not one of the all time greats, prior to this signing he's heading toward the same legacy path as the likes of Patrick Ewing, Karl Malone etc.

    WTF are you talking about? KD>>>>>>>>>Bogut and Barnes. Who cares if they are better defenders, KD is such a monumentous talent he can carry a team to the playoffs by himself. KD's not a bad defender himself, he's like 7 foot tall with long arms and he's filled out considerably from his rookie days, I'm pretty sure he can defend anyone Barnes can defend.

    I totally agree with the OP as long as KD is on the Warriors any dream of contention is just a pipe dream at this point. The only injury prone guy on the Warriors now is Steph, and KD is pretty much the 2nd best offensive player in the league after Steph so meh.

    Well, I'm not aware that competitive pride went out of style in the year 2000.
