Llull would be amazing. But probably not so -- Gentile and Galloway would be tight. I really like Lance Thomas, too.
I imagine it's been said, and he more than likely wouldn't want to play here, but I imagine 10 million could get Pau Gasol. But I imagine he isn't interested in playing here. He'd be a nice veteran presence after losing Dwight to help Capela.
Your imagination is a great one because there's no chance Gasol accepts $10 ANYWHERE let alone Houston, the one team he did not want to join years back.
No I didn't miss anything. I saw more then enough of LS with Memphis and he was terrible and has been since he left Indy
Beverley is the off the ball PG. He's going to continue that role here in Houston unless he's traded. I prefer Gordon to be the starter and go back to Beverley being the junk yard dog off the bench.
take advantage of the cheap contracts we have in kj, capela, harrel and beasley, use them all in the rotation, and trade some of our main rotation guys. in this new cba they're a huge bargain and will get good value in return. dmo and one of the other guys at least will do it. kj and harrel are good enough to get a chance ot prove themselves. with harrel and ryan we dont need dmo. he's too weak for center. since bev's contract is longer, those 2 will be coveted by gms. i hope rockets make at laest one trade
There are 3 holes left to fill on this team: 1) facilitating PG - only two options I see here: Llull and Rubio. 2) big center - We need a guy to throw in there against the gasols, Brook Lopezs, etc. I like Jason Smith and Zaza. 3) Flex 3/4 - we need a guy besides Ariza that can play the 4 in small ball lineups. Bring back Covington.
The Suns have to be coming. PJ Tucker Tyson Chandler Brandon Knight Eric Bledsoe Corey Brewer and some young pieces to go with their nice young shooting guard.
Trade McDaniels for Robert Covington Sign Llull to a 4 year $30 million contract Trade Brewer for Kosta Kofos Llull / Beverley / GPII Harden / Gordon Ariza / Covington Anderson / DMo / Harrell Capela / Kofos / Onuaku Shooting......shooting everywhere
So are we holding on to this $10 mill for more maneuverability this February (or sooner) when we talk bigger trades? If so I think that's a smart move, a lot of these guys that signed big money may move when they realize they're on non-contenders, except for Durant that f***er ain't going nowhere.
I'll admit....time to move on. My next great idea would be to renounce DMo, trade Brewer and offer Allen Crabbe a 4 year $75 million deal. Beverley Harden / Gordon Crabbe / Ariza Anderson / Beasley Capela / Nene End of the bench - McDaniels, Dekker, Harrell, Onuaku, GP3
