I'm surprised the Celtics haven't at least attempted to trade for Harden. A combination of smart, Bradley, brown, and the nets picks would probably get it done. From the Rockets standpoint you'd get younger with some great assets to build your team for a quick rebuild and for the Celtics you get a superstar (who is best friends with Durant) to pair with IT and possibly Durant. IT/Harden/Durant would be scary with Stevens as the coach. I'd do that deal from both teams perspectives.
After the Gordon and Anderson signings, I would love to see these two trades happen. Ariza, Bev and a top 10 protected 1st for Noel. Saves a bunch of cap and gives us a top 3 defensive center, helps 6ers complete and balances their roster. Then: Decker, Capella, KJ, and Brewer. A few future seconds and maybe rights to Zhou Qi. for Bledsoe and Tucker After trades and with DMo cap hold we have about 11 million left to sign another free agent plus the room exception. A replacement for Ariza is needed, so I offer up a 3 year contract to Stevenson at 9m per with the 3rd year a team option. Use the other 2 mil on a vet PG. Use room exception on Gentile. Bledsoe/Vet/GP2 Harden/Gordon/Gentile Stevenson/Tucker/Gentile Anderson/DMo/Harrell Noel/Dmo/Onuaku Exciting team to watch with some defensive upside. Thoughts?
assuming stevenson is lance stephenson, you think putting lance stephenson and pj tucker on the same roster is a good idea? those trades wouldn't crack the top 4 in the west. we'd still be behind OKC GSW SA LAC, and probably portland too.
Would love that line up but not likely to sign both Stevenson (assuming you mean Lance Stephenson) and Gentile. May need some lowered tiered back ups: Harden/Goudelock/G2 Bledsoe/Gordon Stephenson/Putney Anderson/Beasley/Harrell Noel/D-Mo/Nanu And with Gordon on team I would be tempted to trade for PF Aaron Gordon instead of trading for Bledsoe. And this is coming from someone who's been beating the Bledsoe drum since Harden was acquired. Also not sure D-mo is even going to be brought back with Anderson max signing.
DMo. + Brewer + a 2nd rd. pick for Pau Gasol + Calderon first Sign & Trade Dmo. for Gasol and then in a separate deal Brewer & pick for Calderon
I meant Stephenson of course. We will just have Lucas share a hotel room with him and Tucker. Is 5th seed really all that bad given the alternative. Maybe Noel continues his progression. Maybe DMo looks great and becomes a great trade chip. Stephenson shoots like he did last year and plays plus defense. Bledsoe plays a whole season for once. That is a lineup with 3 plus defenders and much improved shooting.
Sign and Trade D-Mo for Bledsoe Sign Ezeli to 4 year 50 million Brewer to anyone for no salary coming back Scola for vets min Gentile for MLE Bledsoe/Bev/Payton Harden/Gordon/Gentile Ariza/Beasley/Dekker Anderson/Scola/Montrezl Ezeli/Capella/Onaku
It won't happen but I love the idea of Vucevic on here. We could easily send out Brewer, McDaniels, rights to Zhou Qi, and a pick that would work, but doubt they would go for that. One can dream though: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=jtave57
