2016-17: REBOUNDING will be the key to success

Bringing in all this offense and no defense
we have to try and dominate the boards
Force teams into a ONE AND DONE situation
    but
I know Antoni likes the break so that means the PF and C's
    Will be our primary rebounders.

Who will be our rebounding leaders?
    Ryan Anderson and Capela?

I think by the end of the game when you look at the box score, if we have more points than the opposition then we should be in a good position to win.

If we can just get our bad rebounders and bad defenders to stop being bad rebounders and bad defenders, we'll be in good shape.

Average individual rebounding % per position - (From 2006, may be different now but these are the only stats I can find off of a quick search, so hopefully individual rebounding percentages haven't changed too much.)

    Center 15%
    PF 14%
    SG/SF 9%
    PG 6%

Rebounding percentages based off of last season -

Above average rebonders (above 1%) - Capela (18.5%)

    Average rebounders (within 1%) - Beasley(15%), Harden(9%), KJ(10%) Beverley(7%)

    Below average rebounders (below 2% off) - Anderson(11%), Dmo (11%), Ariza (7%), Gordon(7%), Brewer (6.5%)

Terrible rebounders (below 3% off) - Harrell (9%), Terry (3.5%)

Looks like the best thing we can do for our rebounding is dump Brewer, Harrell, Terry and Dmo, sign adequate replacements (a strong rebounding C, strong rebounding PG)

I think Speights would make a nice backup C on a D'Antoni team.

No, it will not the championship Rockets teams were not good rebounding teams overall.

Rebounding is important but people overvalue rebounding.

There are NO REBOUNDS when the ball goes in.

On a team not relying on much defense. Defensive rebounds will be key. Those Rockets teams had Hakeem anchoring those defenses.

The other team will shoot 100% so we don't need rebounders.

    You either weak defensively
    or
    You are weak rebounding team

If you are weak in both .. . you are in the lottery
No matter how great your offense
