And therein lies the problem with D'Antoni's strategy... the philosophy is you are hoping that Harden and Anderson can outscore their opposing players night in and night out... but what if they lose those battles consistently (which is what we have seen)

I know you have a problem with comprehension, but 37.7% is closer to 40 than it is 35. Next, you'll be clamoring about how we need defensive studs to run a Dantoni offense.

Next season we'll be contenders, since 16 outta 30 make the playoffs, as the 5th seed. Rockets lose in 6. Get pumped?! Still would've rather had the 12th pick, sure he wouldn't be an All Star ROY out the gate, but its better than Ryan Anderson when come next June Rockets will still be watching Finals on TV instead of playing.

According to DRPM there was only 7 PF's in the entire NBA worse defensively than Ryan Anderson last season.

Scoring 20 points is nothing if you give up 30.

He is a decent pick up given the circumstances. A bit overpaid this season but the following season when the cap rises one more time the "Ryan Anderson" type players will be commanding 25-26 mill per and this contract will be OK

Anderson is Nothing glamorous but we still have cap space to gather more assets and maybe trading for someone that improves the team.

But was he scoring those points in blowouts? Was the other team just letting him score? I don't know those answers, but there a lot of smart posters here who could probably answer that

I seem to remember the Pellies losing a LOT of games last year

First of all, Anderson shot 37.7% over an 8yr span! You don't know NBA basketball if you think that's atrocious for a power forward. Secondly, show me the PF that wanted to come here who was signed on a cheaper contract that could contribute more to Dantonis offense than Anderson.

    Luis Scola style.

At least he had Yao to cover up his defensive deficiencies. :(

48-50 win season. I think you are being too optimistic.

This guy will be untradeable for 4 years, and the team lost a much better player in Howard. This team will be downright bad for the foreseeable future.

Not sure if this is a big swing and a miss at a joke or you're mentally challenged.

I'm amending my Rockets all offense no D team!

    Sign Ryan Anderson $$$$ check

Now go after, Paul gasol for $$$, Seth Curry for $$ and A. Morrow for $$

    "ALL OFFENSE NO D" Lineup

    Curry
    Harden
    Morrow
    Anderson
    Gasol

Holy crap offense! 155-154 game score baby! (no clue who is getting 155 tho)

See... I knew someone could find this.

Also, what good was his scoring doing the Pelicans last season?

Harold Miner won the dunk contest 2X and was still an awful basketball player

Maybe a lot of defensive players getting tired of playing defense and offense in the NBA.

Also if Ryan cost Hou $20 mil, how many more pieces can you get to help this team win a title with the remaining $25mil? Almost half went to Option C or D.

48 wins is actually bad for the team

They could be staying mediocre for the next 2 Harden years.
