I couldn't agree more. This signing is about 3 or 4 years too late and 8 to 10 million per year too much.

    Boo.

But that's where desperation kicks in. Not only are the Rockets desperate to sign someone, but they have to outbid other teams who are almost certainly guaranteeing that final year. The days of 4th year team options are over for at least a while.

its not about overpaying, its about whats best for this team. anderson is not that guy if he's gonna get that much dough. i have been saying another go to scorer should be the rox first priority but anderson isnt what i had in mind. i'll have to wait for the other moves but im not confident at all

I would have preferred to give the same money to Marvin Williams.. He's better and plays defense. But I like him offensively. I'm still too bitter from last season, I'll just watch and see how it pans out

He is INJURY PRONE and we overpayed for him, especially after letting Dwight walk for peanuts.

Moves don't exist in a vacuum. Just like the rockets showing interest in Ego, this guy is injured every single year and they know what they are getting in return---not championship aspirations but keeping the team relevant and ticket profit from fans not so well informed.

Another thing this does is open up the floor a lot more. If Ariza stays at that 36-38 percent mark, Beverley comes back and is at at 36-40 mark and Anderson gets that 36-40 mark then it opens up the space a lot for James and he has more room to operate and plenty of options to kick out to.

DMo is not dynamic and does not offer much shot blocking. But his defense has been solid.

Well I guess the rockets shoot a lot of 3s and don't play defense. So I guess he will fit in?

Might help us to remain slightly below average.

injury prone too, so pay a player that won't even play. Addiction from the Yao/Tmac days.

    This.

Stop talking about "There goes our defense!" or "What about defense?"

    They hired Mike D'Antoni!

you have no clue what you're talking about.

    1) last 2 years team option (a good thing for us)
    2) he can play at Power Forward and shoot 3s

    Oh?
So the "We are going to sign the best defensive assistant coaches and we will prioritize a good defence" was all lies completely?

Now explain why we gave 4 whole years to such an injury prone player?
    It's not 2. Not 3. It's 4 whole years.
