Harden and Anderson can be Step Brothers now.

Someone mentioned in the other thread it was getting frustrating going 1 on 5 every night.

    I tend to agree

Happy with signing a guy who doesn't fire up brick after brick while wide open

I think if we retain DMo , he still might start over Anderson. Anderson off the bench is a nice thing. Im just going to have to wrap my head around paying 20 mil for a bench player ( if it happens that way ) especially since he only plays one position.

I hope anderson's defense isnt as bad as advertised.

Not really enthusiastic about this - Anderson is a guy you add as depth when you have a full set of capable starters.

Right now, the only core the Rockets have is Harden, and even he is questionable as a true building block (no D chuckers don't win championships). Adding Anderson to this mix won't win us any more games, so I just don't see the logic in signing him.

not better than nothing. if rockets couldnt land any top fa's they should've gone with a buncha 1-2 year deals, having to sign one of them for long haul but would be someone we need. see what they can do next offseason. if ryan is the best they can do...

So after everyone getting mad that the Rockets are a three point shooting team that doesn't have shooters.. we sign a shooter and a good chunk of people are mad? Like I don't get what you guys want. If it was easy to sign these 3-D guys like Marvin Williams or something e would have done it.

Paying an offensive threat to help this team STAY top 10 offense in the league for 4 years is better than not signing someone so then we suck and Harden has NO help and he leaves in 2 years.

This is where we're at right now. We struck out on key free agents. We're not going to strike out with Harden. We're going to compete because that's all we have left to do.

If you want to rebuild then that's fine, but we're not rebuilding with Harden that's for sure.

I like it, but that price...people screamed bloody murder and we handed out one of the worst. We do have our starting PF, so no more uncertainty and waiting for any birds or D-Mo.

Most of you guys are hilariously pessimistic. Yes, I understand that goes with being a Houston fan but Jesus. Did we overpay? Probably, but that's the going rate. Would you rather have given 72 million to Kent bazemore??! Guys are making money this year. Anderson doesn't need Howard to be good. It's not like Dwight is commanding double teams anymore. And sure we can/could have offered Barnes the max but everyone knows the warriors will match that and it ties up your money while you wait for them to do so. Remember, Parsons got max, mozgov got 60M+, freaking Evan n Turner got 75M! It would have been nice to have horford also but I understand why he would prefer wiz and maybe Celtics. Ryan Anderson fits what we are trying to do, on paper at least. Remember last year when everyone thought we overpaid for brewer? Even if he is hot garbage that deal is. steal when you consider he probably would get around 10-11 this year at min. Let's let the process play out and rejoice that at least tjo is no longer around!

You mean who I would sign? I would consider Anderson sure, but not at 20 mil tag for 4 years.

I would consider upgrading my SF and C if Anderson price tag is this high.

Better than nothing. Anderson can stretch the floor and score. Hope we're not done though.
