Actually this will be a good move, delay the meeting basically sending him a message : you are no where close to a max player. So if the range is right, 15-18 per, and he will settle for 3 years deal, this is not the end of the world. Yes, he sucks on D, but that may not be a bad thing, since D is going to suck anyway, so players actually won't need to point finger at each others much, I think that's the best scenario of getting rid Dwight can bring to this team. Lets score 150 per game and cross your fingers and pray for a win.
So the Rockets were having locker room issue last season? No problem. Lets build a culture in this team from TOP to the BOTTOM, from owner to coach to players, that we will not give a fork about defense. Then we will make sure no locker room issue. Smart thinking here.
Oh hey lets starting looking for PF that can shoot now & stretch things out once your post presence Howard's gone & they're older more expensive (al, Ryan) Sorry morey but window has closed
How can Ryan Anderson playing the stretch 4 challenge... Draymond Green, Aldridge, Lebron, Anthony Davis, Melo, who all at times play the stretch 4.... This worrys me...if you get the max you must be a two way player....
Bosh averaged 10+ rebounds 3 times with Toronto and his career average is 8.5, he's not a bad rebounder.
Surprised that some of you don't like Ryan Anderson. He KILLED the Rockets every time he was on the floor.
People who would just assume the Rockets wait until 2017, who's to say any of those guys would consider us. Whos to say anyone would want to even meet with us next year i.e Durant and Conley, especially with the looming possibility that Harden bolts?
same. people want to complain about how we don't really have guys that can shoot 3s. you have a legit big who is one of the better 3 pt shooters in the league yet its not a great idea to pick him up via FA.
i'd like to echo this shout out. some on this board pretend to be insiders. Codman certainly is legit. Thanks for sharing Cod!
He's a good player, and looking over the roster I won't complain, but I see him as a bench player for a championship team who brings a nice skill. And that seems to be our problem. We are consistently starting guys who at this stage of their careers belong on the bench.
To be a legit big you have to do something more than just jack up some threes (and many of them are just bad shots)...and not even close to 40%? How's that one of the better shooters in the league?
