easy...just keep goin east on westheimer till u reach gessner. at that corner is SRO sportsbar..right next to hooter's. it's a few minutes from beltway 8..but it's clearly the best sportsbar in houston. go inside and you'll see why. here's the exact addy: SRO Sports Cafe II 2517 S. Gessner 713 952-1999 ------------------ Thank God for NBA League Pass..cuz livin' in Austin is killin me when there's nothing but Spurs games to watch.
Somehow I don't think that answered his question killahflip. Call it a hunch... ------------------ "Ive seen more class at a Pig Humpin Contest ." -- moestavern19 makes headlines again, and in the process leaves little doubt as to what Saturday nights in his hometown of Lompoc, California are like.
I had that hunch as well. ------------------ www.swirve.com...The reason Al Gore invented the internet.
Well there's Rudy's @ 44th and 9th and then there's Boomer's on 76th and Amsterdam. Oh wait, you mean the west side of Houston. Not Manhattan. Sorry ------------------ Everything you do, effects everything that is.
I hate Boomers. If I'm going to go to a sports bar, I go to the Park Avenue country club. Unless I want to go to a Kosher sports bar. Then I go to Mendy's West. But again, he isn't asking about Manhattan.
I will NEVER go to SRO again! About a month ago I found an earing in the bottom of my pitcher. A girl has a seizure and ripped it off her ear and it fell into our pitcher. When we complained they first tried to give me $30 bucks credit for next time. What, like I was coming back. I live in DFW now, so what good does that do me? They refunded my money and said that's all they could do. I will never go back again. Thats big time lawsuit b/c I drank someone elses DNA. We thought about calling Marvin but b/c of the seizure, we felt bad and left. They have foerever lost my crew's business. Here're some others I like: Nick's @ Briar Forest and Wilcrest is a good neighborhood bar. Kinda a dive, but it was walking distance from my old place. They used to have great crawfich during NFL. Scoreboard on I-10 near Antione is alright also. Fox and Hound, further west on Westhiemer, but before DA, is a nice sports bar. Boycott SRO ------------------ "Chucky who? I thought we were talking about basketball?" Charles Barkley
What are some good sports bars to watch the Rockets near Westheimer and Beltway 8? My wife and I are looking for a place that has loud rockets fans and good food but hopefully not too smokey. Went to SRO's on Gessner for the last game, and it was all right, but are there any other good places? (We thought about going to the game, but the cheap seats are sold out and we'd rather eat dinner for half the price) ------------------ Ex-Canuck loving life and the Rox in H-town
