what are you talking about? Wolfson is one of the best beatwriters. Maybe not everything he says comes to be, but his sources are legit and reliable.
Unlike the Bucks and Atlanta beatwriters that you can take their stuff and straight up put it in the garbage.

You had me on board until Uthoff and Randolph. I feel like there are far better role players out there than those guys.

    Not likely. Ennis though maybe.

    1. Not laughable if they get rid of Pek. Minny has changed coach and fo.
    2. Yes and you can also use it on Pek and on top of it you would have Rubio on a cheap contract for years.
    3. It's not Ariza +Bev whas has been talked about. It's Bev+Brew or Ariza + rubbish.
We were always going to have to attach a good asset next to Brew to take it back. Now we are exchanging bad contracts and Pek may suck but Rubio is that MUCH better in comparison to Beverly.

Don't ask this guy he doesnt' know nothing and for sure isn't an insider.

He did say this on draft day

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr"><a href="https://twitter.com/RyanPDickey">@RyanPDickey</a> haven't heard any Rubio steam. Read my timeline for what I think. And I did not just randomly put the Jamal Murray poll up.</p>&mdash; Darren Wolfson (@DWolfsonKSTP) <a href="https://twitter.com/DWolfsonKSTP/status/746008923895914497">June 23, 2016</a></blockquote>
    <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

He was wrong in this instance because Rubio was shopped for weeks prior to the draft. I do think it's possible that trade talks are progressing but Wolfson can't divulge that info due to the request from his source (Twolves' management)

It doesnt' matter. Wolfson isn't a newbie. He has been around for ages and always has been reliable. If there's smth he can't say he won't rather than lie.
If he didn't know, he didn't. At that point wasn't Minny more likely to draft Murray anyway since Dunn was to be picked by the Celtics and traded to Philly or Chicago?

Of course MDA isn't hot on Rubio. The dude is like one of the worst shooters and finishers in the league.

Yes, you are right. My post was not questioning Wolfson's credibility. It was more about the discrepancy between the claim by Wolfson (nothing imminent) and the claim here that something could done by Thursday?

I hope Houston gets Rubio and it will be a huge get. I just don't think it will come to fruition (similar to 2014 and 2015).

He shot nearly 33 percent from the the 3-point line last season and nearly 37 percent after the All-Star break. Definitely not great numbers, but at least he's trending in the right direction.

Wolfson is a nice guy but he's not imbedded with the Wolves like other reporters are. ;) That's all you get.

Can someone please explain to me why there's a 58 page thread about Rubio on the GARM? Have there been any actual links to Rubio?

Yes. It would probably cost us a future pick. But if we acquire Rubio it's a trade we need to make. There would be no better defensive tandem at the 1 and 5 against all these pick-and-roll offenses in the entire association. You mix in Payton II with that and you've got 48 minutes of hell for opposing offenses at the point.

Uthoff and Randolph wou l d take up less than $3 million of cap space. If we clear out Bev, Ariza, Brewer, and Capela there's plenty of cap to go get shooters/wings. Nicholas Batum come on down.

Stupidity deserves to be stomped out and nothing is dumber than trying to pair a PG who can't shoot with a ball dominant SG who NEEDS SPACE.
