Unless he picks up his dribble while both feet are firmly planted on the ground, then there is no "choosing" of which is his pivot foot. If one is on the ground, and one is in the air after he picks up his dribble, then the one on the ground is his pivot foot. You don't get to establish both feet on the ground and then decide. It looks to me as if he switches pivot feet after he has picked up his dribble. I'm not going to argue this anymore, though, because as someone else pointed out, it wasn't called, and it likely won't be called in the NBA. I was just noting that it looked like a travel to me, by the book.
