Woj actually is close with Morey. If anything he knows what he's talking about.

Don't forget the first time Dwight turned us down by refusing a trade to the rockets from Orlando - a year of a bad back with the lakers. I believe he got the injury after he opted in to Orlando to avoid being traded.

This has been the most likely scenario since the season ended.

The Rockets a year ago at this time were far more attractive.

Now you have unpredictability amongst the decision makers and have one less elite player (Howard regressed).

With so much money available teams will over pay to keep their own players and the few that insist on leaving will have 10 other clubs offering the max.

For the Rockets they either move quickly and offer the max to non traditional max players (Parsons/Barnes) and hope to sign them.... or they pick out players they think are underutilized in the market and hope they thrive or find a sucker in the trade market.

It is going to be a very challenging summer for the Rockets.

No. They ONLY think this about Durant not the other max players.

There's no way that Horford and Conley at their age take a 1+1 to enter next year's FA where the antagonism will be 30 times higher. They will cash out now.

I don't think so. Because of Doc. He won't dare to do such a trade.

But I think that a Cousins trade is more possible.

This is why I want us to move on Whiteside. Miami are focused on durant and Dallas Portland and others are focused on him. With our no state tax and harden, we're better positioned than Dallas although I'm sure Portland will be tempting. I prefer us to not get the durant interview at this point - we didn't even make the top 5-6 cut with Boston and clippers. Not worth chasing.

I don't know if Whiteside is our answer at max since we really need shooters to go with D'antoni offense which we are severely lacking but the Rockets will take an interview even if there's the slimmest of chance. However they shouldn't put too much effort in the Durant chase since it's probably almost 0% chance he's coming.

I'm actually pretty pissed that Boston got a meeting and we are put in the same category as the Nuggets the Knicks and the Lakers.
I thought his criterion was supposed to be winning? What is he going to win with Boston?
They have ZERO rim protection, bad shooting, only a single ballhandler if they dont' overpay Turner and like 8 rookies.
    WTF.

Damn you James Harden! If only you were going to the Olympics you could convince Durant to come to Houston! Even though his decision will be made long before then, damn you!

Or maybe what the "insider" said wasn't 100% accurate. It doesn't make sense from a logical standpoint that you'd meet with a lottery team but then don't meet the one team your best buddy is playing with. Not only Miami who was one of the people is gonna meet can't even afford him, they don't have capspace to sign both KD and Whiteside as they still owe Wade and Bosh as lot of money. So basically what the insider is saying is KD would rather meet with a lottery team and a team that can't afford to pay him than the Rockets. LOL does that make any sense to you?

The offense should be way better with MDA I know we need shooters but those come a dime a dozen. We need a true rim protecting big man who can play in todays NBA. Whiteside would be ideal hes a double double machine who brings a certain toughness and intimidation he runs the pick and roll extremely well he runs the floor very good and he is a legit shot blocking monster. Think deandre jordan with a offensive game. If all the free agents stay with their teams then getting whiteside would be the ultimate prize.

    bev/rubio? lol
    harden
    ariza/barnes?
    dmo/anderson?
    whiteside

So we will doubt now the TOP TWO MOST CREDIBLE reporters in the NBA because it doesn't fit with our opinion???

I liked how you said "insider" to describe Woj and Stein.

It is what it is. That's the truth. Roc Nation has made appointments with those teams and not us. Whether that makes sense to you and me that doesn't change the truth.

You kind of need multiple superstars to win rings... 3 for the most part.

So yeah, if you don't get superstars next to Harden then we won't win anything.

Sooner or later, Harden will leave so that he join OTHER superstars since it ain't happening here.

    Thx Les. Thx Morey.

I hope KD goes east if he doesn't come to houston obviously.

He would be stupid to go to Boston or miami (all teams the rox beat by the way) who have no other star player. would he make them win a ton of games? Yes. But he's not beating the Cavs let alone whoever comes out the west.

We'll see, maybe this is a blessing in disguise and the rockets shock the world this year and overachieve and set themselves up to sign a few big name players next year in a much better FA class.

Maybe he chose to meet Boston is because of Brad Stevens. If I remember correctly he said good words about him in RS.

While we with Mike D'antoni get nothing. I thought he was supposed to be a FA magnet?
