It's not Harden's fault. The issue is we have a lousy coach who has no idea on how to run plays so insists on ISO's (which rarely work) as the easy way out.
if he run coach's play and did not work, then it's not his fault. but people went to see rocket game witness he interrupt a play and just go iso and in the timeout coach yelled at lin and lin yelled back and mchale then yelled at harden and he just walked away.
the main problem about Harden iso is the way he run it. Of course you want your best offensive player to run the offense during clutch time. The problem is he dribble the ball until last few seconds every damn time! Some time even someone come over to set a screen for him , instead of making his move ASAP, he would just dribble in front of them for a few seconds , i just don't get it!!!
Definitely not. It's well known that superstars regularly break plays and go for their own shot. Stars don't always listen to the coach. Maybe for out of time out plays and last second shot plays, but in the regular up and down flow of the game, coaches don't have that much control over what play is actually executed, unless they are very well respected like Pop.
