Is he though? When the UK economy slumps and Scotland and other leave them will it help Trump's cause?

Americans will see the negative repercussions and say, "nope"

Oh yeah there's fear mongering going on, it's those darn immigrants, the young people with the crazy technology, and feminists.

You just wake up? Scotland already working on a new referendum. British banks and currency are getting killed and Londoners are working on a way to secede from the UK

This has lots to do with Obama actually. His plan to pull the troops out of middle east caused ISIS to run free and wild and overran their borders. If you spoke out against this you are labeled a racist. Kind of sounds like a familiar situation here.

Sturgeon has been "working" on that since she lost the last referendum. LOL if you think anything will happen soon.

Republican logic: Obama pulled troops out of Iraq which then let ISIS spread which caused mass migration to Europe which caused terrorist attacks in Europe which made the UK scurred which made them vote to leave the EU. Thus, Obama's fault.

I don't think this vote will be destroy the global economy but the next few months are going to be pretty tricky.

I thought about buying but am thinking it might make sense to wait. I'm not a stock expert but from what I've been hearing is that a market correction has been due. Brexit might be the catalyst for that so buying now there still might be a ways to go before it hit's bottom.

I think so. I mean, despite the market free-fall and repercussions, I just think that the messages Trump has conveyed over the past year, although seems ridiculous at times, got a lot of people to buy into it and this Brexit is like a dress rehearsal of what's to come in November. To me I've always doubted whether or not Trump could stand a chance against Hillary in the general elections. This event has shown that it's very possible to pull it off.

If the election was in like 2 years from now, then I'd probably still be a bit skeptic but the election is in 5 months. I don't know if that's enough time to see the effects this referendum has. All in all, I hope you're right about it though.

Who else is going to leave EU now? France? Denmark?

The problem with EU is too much disparity between the rich and poor nations in the EU.

No one else will any time soon. Any country in the Eurozone will have a much harder time leaving as their economy is significantly more tied to the EU. Now that the UK is leaving, only Denmark and Sweden are EU members that aren't tied to the Euro. And both countries have shown no interest in leaving.

Good to see the British make a choice despite short-term economic pain.

Too bad the choice involved fearing immigrants for no reason.

Net net a positive though. Shows the demand for radical policies an austerity state will embrace even if it's in the wrong direction. And I have a strong feeling Scotland and Northern Ireland will split, becoming the independent left-leaning countries those constituencies will demand.

Happy to see Cameron resign. People deserve payback for austerity.
