lol that dude you quoted thinks that Les cares about anything other than $$$. This city deserves so much better.
His shooting drills remind me a lot of Kristaps... Could actually turn into something in a few seasons!
I voted No but after watching some videos I'd switch. His most glaring weaknesses are his weight, lack of post game, poor rebounding and poor defending. He got most of the rebounds I watched without leaving the floor. His block numbers are impressive but seem to come from terrible decisions by his opposition rather than aggressive defense. I think his offensive potential outweighs the negatives. He is an excellent shooter and slasher. He looks very mobile at his size, though I expect he can sacrifice some mobility for strength. The same reason the pick is vexing (Lies) provides us with his best chance of developing (Yao). Seems as much D'Antoni's pick as Alexander's.
Zhou is a different Chinese player. He plays more aggressive, enjoys blocking, and even gives trash talk to refs. Don't forget he is only 20 years old. He can do something on the court.
What the rockets needed was a back court player/shooter or a point guard but instead we draft a PF/C when we already have like twenty. Motiejunas, Beasley, Jones, Harrell, Smith, Capela also can play PF, plus these two rookies. And our backcourt? Harden, Bev, and Goldilocks...
How the EFF do we pass on Niang for this guy!? I don't know if there was a more taylor made player (in our draft range) for MDA than Niang!
Do you really think they were gonna get a difference maker at #43? At that point its more about upside and potential than anything else. Qi's a steal when it comes to this.
